Drafted players

After we draft players in the June draft do they become available (after we sign them) to assign to minor league teams? I can't find the guys I've signed anywhere on any of my rosters. Also, the scouting system seems a little confusing. There were a lot of guys I scouted that I could not find once the draft started. Perhaps they decided not to enter the draft?

I don't believe they show up on your roster until the off-season begins

The players drafted in the first year player draft won't be available until the following off season and then the next season. This process is literally my favorite part of the game, drafting and developing guys. As for why players you scouted can't be found...maybe they were drafted by other teams? I too have noticed that guys I've scouted aren't found when I'm next to select, but I just assumed they were already chosen (I'm too lazy to go back and look at previous picks).

Perhaps they decided not to enter the draft?

They were either picked by a new team or didn't enter the draft.

Yeah, they just were not there. I was eying a catcher but he wasn't there come draft day. I had the fifth pick and was going to take him. I looked at the first four picks and no team had taken him. Oh, well.

They give you random people each time you enter the draft (out of the scouting pool you already have)

I cheated and kept re-starting the draft until the best 3 guys were in there.

They dont become available till the offseason. Something that needs to be fixed for next year. We need playable single A or even rookie ball short seasons to start working on their progression from the day they sign.

I think they will be there the next year in the draft pool.

I know a guy I had in the year 1 draft was a pretty solid player. Well year 1 draft he's not in the pool to draft. Year 2 he's in the draft pool and I was able to snag him.
