CPU starting relievers???
Is anyone noticing this? When a CPU starter gets hurt, they bring in a reliever to start, also, when said starter returns, he goes to the bullpen. I just noticed this with Dodgers and Grienke was in the pen.

Really?Originally posted by HozAndMooseYou seem pretty upset.
Didn't notice...was there a specific point you saw his anger revealed?
to the OP.
Yes...this has been an issue with the game for a while.
Aaron and Luis had it fixed at one point...so I don't know how it made it back in.
This for me is the last remaining reason to "have to" use 30 team control.
It has to do with pitcher injuries ....it's usually DtD injuries to a starter....they are not DL'ing him...they put him in the middle of the MR role and put the RP in his spot.
The problem is...they never move him out again unless there is another injury to a pitcher and they actually have to DL them....and then the rotation/pen get adjusted to the "regular" logic like out of spring training.
On every Mon/Fri....I flip through each team rotation and move the RP's out of the rotations if they are in there.

I simulate every game before my game, if I see relief pitchers or names I've never seen starting, i then go fix the rotation.Really?

For one you won't have Paul Maholm starting and Zack Greinke in the pen pitching middle relief, second, the ridiculous trades the CPU cooks up won't happen, and third, the CPU has no idea what its doing in regards to its bench, I've seen teams carry 3-4 catchers or 3 shortstops, as the user I can in and make sure the guys on the CPU bench make sense and give their lineups and substitutions more versatility. Otherwise you get guys like Gerald Laird starting at shortstop.#HellaBandz

I recently saw the CPU sub Laird in at 2B and I was like, what?! There's nothing you can do about CPU sub logic late in games, I don't guess, but some of the decisions are head-scratchers for sure.
