Where are you with striking out the opponent, how often are you throwing first pitch strikes? Where are you with BB given?

Sounds like you need to increase some CPU offense and take the losses if you team BA is near the league avg. not saying you need to let the CPU just hit bombs but if you are pitching to a top hitter with your 5 guy with no fear because you know your sliders handicap the CPU to "sim stats" then IMO that's why you obtain these predictable results.

I've had 2 hit games, I've had 15 hit games. I had a series vs the Jays they hit +15 in back to back games. Frustrating as hell but IMO some of these slider sets lock the game into semi predetermined results.

    If that makes sense.

Obviously don't fall into slider itis but adjust -/+ 1 after like two months. Good hitting/pitching per player doesn't need an adjustment but if you notice an extreme as a whole then obv change.

I've been playing with my pitch consistency set to 3 for the past few games and have gotten really good results overall (Since June 12 on my franchise). Take a look at the box scores from my franchise page and you can see the results. I think they've been pretty good. The 13-11 loss was crazy. Especially since I scored 5 runs in the top of the 9th to take an 11-10 lead.

Odd that his post was deleted for spam.

Wasn't he a 13 or something overall? Maybe not and he was a spambot and I'm just confused, but anyways!

I tried reducing Consistency before increasing a few other CPU sliders instead but if these don't work out, maybe I'll give it a try again!

Spammers copy and paste previous quotes in the thread and have a code behind the post you can see if you go to quote them. That post looks oddly similar to this one with the added smilie making no sense:

I've noticed that but I missed this one.

              Good catch.

Is anyone who's trying a reduction in Human Consistency using Quick Counts or Classic pitching, by chance?

I use Classic pitching, but not Quick Counts. I have control and consistency at 3

                    I use Classic and QC...

I HAD been using 3/3 for about 25 games, but went to 3/4 for both HUM and CPU when I experienced a few too many walks with the bases loaded, etc.

Since there are quite a few three ball counts, 3/4 is giving me a much more satisfying statistical result...

Using the Cubs same as the OP, Hof Hit(Zone)/Pit(Meter) and All-Star fielding. Last in runs and 5th in era. Offensively I hit into many double plays and don't hit for power. Team BA is .228 and obp .285ish. Pitching wise I don't walk many guys at all. Maybe 2 per game, and I also induce plenty of dp's.

This is almost exactly the way I am. I hit into a ton of double plays, almost last in home runs. Last in RBIs. I continually chalk it up to me playing as the Cubs.

Yeah, playing as the Cubs doesn't help also I can never hit with Castro. He has never batted better than .250 for me..in ever version of the show.

Ha, that's funny because I thought I was the only one. He's been below the Mendoza Line for me for most of the season. Only recently is he in the low .200's.

I haven't played a game since about 10:00 this morning. I'm planning on logging some serious time tonight though. I'm crossing my fingers.
