Re: hitting homeruns
I used zone, analog, and zone analog they are all great when you get used to them. But seems like zone is most consistent and easy to lay off bad pitches. With analog one u start your swing u wanna kill everything lol but Idk I had so much fun when I tried analog. But for online games zone seems best due to the lag. Definitely hit more Homers with zone online -

Re: hitting homeruns
Place the PCI in a spot where you think the ball is going to be. If it's not in that location lay off and wait for a better pitch. I've hit homeruns using the contact, regular and power swing. Be patient and work the count.Call me the Clutch Man

Re: hitting homeruns
, it would make everything much more entertaining. It would be like when Hogan joined the NWO! I just marked out a little bit there thinking about it happening and LOL it still riles me up.
Back on topic, I thought hitting with timing was kind of off. The PCI would jump all over the place and I finally decided to give zone a try and have not looked back since.Call me the Clutch Man

Re: hitting homeruns
I use Zone and just try to have good at bats. But be a situational hitter. Runner on 1st less than 2 out, you are gonna get a ton of pitches down. Keep watching them till they leave one in the zone and hit it hard.Comment

Re: hitting homeruns
I was a huge wrestling fan back during the Attitude days. I still love to play the games and buy them every year. Now a days I watch it here and there and I know what is going on story line wise. I wish they would turn Cena heel already, it would make everything much more entertaining. It would be like when Hogan joined the NWO! Re: hitting homeruns
I don't use influence, unless I am trying to git a sac fly, or get it through the hole on a hit and run. You seem to lose some power with influence.Comment

Re: hitting homeruns
Exactly, you want to hit a pitch where you want it. If you ate just waiting for it to come to you, it is alot easier than moving the pci and trying to line it up. I use "manual guess pitch", meaning I don't use the game mechanic, but I doI take count and history into consideration, and hold the PCI in the area I think the pitch will be. If I am looking high and get a low pitch, especially with no strikes or 1 strike, I lay off, even if it will be a called strike. I would rather see another pitch than hit a weak grounder or pop up.Comment

Re: hitting homeruns
Just my personal experience, but I use pure analog, no guess pitch, no trying to influence the ball, no nothing. I don't worry too much about contact vs. power swing, because you can hit home runs in this game from any of them. At this point your best bet is probably just to go with normal so there's one less thing on your mind at the plate.
My observations: the key is to know your hitter's swing. Some guys are good low ball hitters, some -- right handed power guys for instance -- prefer the ball up in the zone. For me, I notice Freddie Freeman's swing gets to low balls better than say Justin Upton's for what it's worth. Now a lot of this can be influenced if you're moving the PCI, but personally, I like to wait for the ball up a bit. Those are the kinds of pitches that fly out the park the easiest. And watch your timing whatever interface you use. That seems to be the biggest key. You want to contact the ball right before it gets to the plate. That way your hitter will get full extension.
Take your time and go into replays to see what you're doing right and wrong."A man can only be beaten in two ways: if he gives up, or if he dies."Comment
