    Check Swing, NOT Bunt!

This seems to have become more of a problem in recent years but the number of times I check swing and end up actually bunting the ball in play is ridiculous. You might see the ball make contact with a check swing a few times a month in real baseball but it's almost always a glancing hit that goes foul.

Has anyone figured out a way to stop this from happening? I use zone hitting. Not sure if that makes a difference or not. Will having more Discipline help?

It happens to me mostly when the pitcher throws an off-speed pitch and I'm looking fastball. I start my swing early, realize it's not a fastball and check my swing. The hitter leaves his bat hanging over the plate like a bunter and the ball floats in and hits the bat. It's incredibly infuriating to have an at-bat taken away due to sloppy game mechanics.

I have had this happen quite a few times as well.

If it's the animation I'm thinking of....it's the worst one in the game.
          Looks really bad IMO.

Changing the animation would likely fix the issue. Hitters in real life don't completely stop the bat when they check their swing. The muscles in the arms are pulling it back so that by the time the ball crosses the plate, the bat is close to the hitter's body again. If the ball hits the bat at that point, it will glance off and go foul.

A quick fix would be just to find the spot in the code where check-swings are determined and, if successful, lower the contact rate or raise the chance it will go foul.
