J.P. Howell probably. He throws 85 MPH but his sinker is so heavy and he also has a big looping curveball that's pretty tough to hit.

I've heard that sound 3 times... once was Babe Ruth, the second was Josh Gibson, and the third was Bo Jackson- Buck O'Neil

Any lefty with a hook and a changeup gives me fits at the plate. Usually I tell myself if I won't score until I get to their bullpen. In those cases it teaches me how to run up pitch counts.

I'm gonna say Sale for a different sense of the word "tough." In my old PS3 RttS I was playing for the White Sox. Had a game go 28 innings. We ran out of pitchers and Sale ended up going 14 innings. No runs, 4 hits, 16 K's. Made his next scheduled start 2 days later with an almost empty stamina bar. 6 innings, no runs, 2 hits, 6 K's.

14 innings of getting shutout by Chris Sale? No thanks. I would've just thrown the game if I could. But wow, 28 innings. That's amazing man especially for am RTTS game where things can implode at any second.

For SP, I always found Kershaw's FB/CB combo extremely difficult to deal with because of the massive speed differential.

For RP, I have a hard time with Paco because of that little hitch in his delivery right before the ball leaves his hand.

I do recall the AS game commentators saying that the toughest LHP for LHB is Sale, though I'm not sure why he'd be tougher than Kershaw in that regard.

Kershaw. His curveball can break backwards in this game and his slider is outstanding. I still cannot pinpoint his release consistently. His arm speed is legendary. The way he preloads his arm is genius

It is Sale for sure. 96-97 mph fastball with a 77 mph slider that breaks across the plate. There is a reason this week is the hardest COTW so far. Kershaw isn't nearly as difficult to hit. His slider is faster and his fastball is slower.

The difference between 4-seam fastballs is just one mph using average speed from brooksbaseball.
