    baseball 101

i been watching youtube videos on how to get better in hitting while using zone. my question is percentage wise if you aim how do you usually hit fly balls? is it best to aim low or you should mix it up?

You want the center of your bat to be just slightly under the center of the ball. You want to really be squared up on any ball you hit, because if you are too much under the ball, it's a pop up, or you swing through it.

i think i figure something out with the pci. so let say the pitch is lower left if you move the pci so the left part of the pci is out but the middle and right is in the strike zone you make better contact.

Yea for fly balls you do have to kind of intend to get underneath the ball with your swing. Usually you're waiting for a pitch mid-level or up to take an opportunity for a fly ball anyway, but you're driving a pitch low, for an intended fly ball, you would try to get underneath and in front of it to steer it into the outfield. Even if you have pci completely off and no visual aids present at all you'll have to use your common sense basically in order to try getting the result your looking for.

It also depends on the level you're using, but I could be wrong about that. I only say so because in low levels with zone batting you are given leeway on where your swing is actually made. Which I would expect to influence hits that are not exactly consistent with how and where you swung.
