MLB The Show Local Multiplayer Settings

Okay so if I were to play this with friends, there's a MYRIAD of options on the gameplay front. What would be considered "fair" in terms of 1 v 1 against a human?

I'm new to The Show so for instance if my batting settings were set on "timing" and his were set to "zone" or "analog" would I be at an advantage or is it purely a control scheme? Or is the difficulty the only thing that matters?

Basically trying to ask what the settings for each individual should be to be considered "fair". Should baserunning me on manual? Is it ok if it isn't? etc. Please let me know.

I wish we could play on a LAN. my buddy has a PS4 and the show, and it would be awesome to play multiplayer without the lag of the servers. If we just hooked them up to the same LAN, there shouldn't be any real lag, and you could play with your pci on and noone seeing where you aimed your swing.

And to answer your question, yes on timing you would be at an advantage. But also have a lack of control. He would have to aim his swing where the computer aimed your swing for you.
