The more I play this game the more I realize baseball video game developers have it easier than the rest of other sports. Since this year's edition which has been a personal letdown for me has me gaining a lot more respect for games like NHL and Fifa which have to capture so much more movement, creativity, and the pace of the game is much harder to capture. Do not get me wrong, San Diego Studios does an excellent job in capturing the 'ambience' of Baseball but when I look at the fielding in this game, which was always my most favourite part of being a baseball player, it is just poorly done and has been for quite some time, the catchers, the clipping, the diving, the running full throttle into walls, I've had it with this game. San Diego needs to find a way to make online work. Franchise is the only thing they got going for them and their stadiums, which are awesome but personally I expect more from such a slow paced game. Community challenges are a waste of time, they removed key features, they took out sounds of the show(but can't admit it) , PCI got way too big and ultimately they are beginning to cater to casual fans and moving slowly away from a baseball sim. I have two weeks left with this game and after that I am done. selling my ps4 The online in this game is what will ultimately bring it to its knees its just garbage. THIS GAME IS TOO FULL OF ITSELF.

Probably a good idea to write off The Show on Ps4 after its first title on new hardware. There is no chance The Show 15,16,17 ect will improve

If baseball truly is the easiest sport to replicate in a video game, that would be quite an indictment on the MLB 2k series, which pretty much was a disaster from start to finish.
Anyway, I disagree with the assertion that this year's version of the Show is substandard. It's still the same great game, IMO. Not quite the jump I hoped it would be on the new hardware, but I've been around long enough to realize that is often the case during the first iteration on new consoles.
History indicates there will be substantial improvement moving forward.It's on me. I shook his hand too hard. It was a hard ... kind of a slap-shake.

Programming anything is a difficult and tedious process. And if it was that easy, Visual Concepts would have knocked it out of the park with their series instead of struggling. To say that it is easy is underminding the brilliance that the SCEA team puts out every year, and the sole reason i even kept a ps3 at all after beating MGS 4 last generation. SCEA just makes it look easy.Comment

Only question I have is why do you have two weeks left with the game? If you're this frustrated with it, why not just stop playing it now?
Ok, maybe that was two questions.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
