I don't understand hot zones in RTTS!! Should I aim to only hit balls in my player's hot zones? Does the number of hot zones change depending on where I get hits?

Hot Zones essentially give your player the best chance of making the best contact possible, however, location of the PCI in relation to pitch location plays a part, as well as timing of the swing.
Yes, at least in my experience with franchise mode (I don't play RTTS), hot zones will change over the course of a season/game.

Hot Zones are dynamic on RTTS. and no, you should not avoid swinging at something not in your hot zones, but you do get a little boost in your hot zones. I look at the hot zones to see where I (RTTS) am getting my hits from, but I dont use it when I am hitting. Thanks to ManicMatt, I am hitting a lot better now and in more zones.Really wish sports games played to ratings!
Only thing SIM about sports games now, are the team name and players

Glad I can be of some help. Baseball was my game growing up, and I miss playing real ball. It's not quite the same as the real thing, but I do love cerebral battle that The Show brings to the pitcher/batter battle.Comment
