What control scheme are you using? -
Re: Fastball hitting tips?
That's part of the problem. The cpu ends up aiming your pci for you.Comment

Re: Fastball hitting tips?
Without zone, yes. You can cover left or right but you are SOL when it comes to height. And when it comes to pop ups and grounders. Swing trajectory means more than inside and outside location. You have ZERO control over swing trajectory in pure analog. That is completely controlled by the CPU. Playing with Zone or Analog + Zone, you get control of the trajectory of your swing.Last edited by ManiacMatt1782; 07-26-2014, 09:04 AM.Comment

Re: Fastball hitting tips?
What kind of feedback are you getting on your stride and swing timing? At what point in the pitchers windup are you pulling back on the stick?"A man can only be beaten in two ways: if he gives up, or if he dies."Comment

Re: Fastball hitting tips?
Maybe try changing your batting camera. I hadn't played much of late and was getting a little frustrated after an inning or two the other night with my timing, particularly on fastballs. Decided to switch from one of the catcher zoom cameras to default catcher. I hit five homers in the rest of the game (still leveling up dynamic difficulty).Comment

Re: Fastball hitting tips?
So you are crushing breaking balls or what??
Try zone plus analog or zone....and use swing influence
Lowering the pitch speed doesn't really solve your problem, unless your TV is that laggy...regardless you should still be able to hit a 94 mph fastball...You may just want to try swinging early a bit. Also the most important factor......only swing at fastballs near the middle of the zone! Don't swing at the ones on the black, because yeah you probably won't crush those. Look for ones in the middle only...either middle low, middle high, or right down the pipe.
What difficulty are you on and which team do you use?Comment
