ive noticed a lot of people like the cubs broadcast crew in real life....they to me are horrible....i get so bored watching a cubs game and their stories are lame...but in the big picture, thats always been a problem in real life watching baseball...the announcers are old and dry. there's probably about only five men in history that are remotely entertaining to listen to

Re: "That ball is popped up and I mean way up....."
NBA 2k has the best commentary...but to me...commentary should be one of the least important factors. They need to fix a lot of other stuff gameplay wise...before they worry about coming up with more stories and cliche comments to throw at us for another 10+ years.Comment

I wish it was possible to have every announcing team do certain aspects of their respective teams, whether it is player line up introduction or another aspect. The commentary is really bad and feels it just was re hashed and given right back to us. I'm starting to feel like the show did us like 2k with Beautiful graphics but same gameplay from last gen, no new feel other then the graphics.Comment

Commentary is a matter of paying a guy to speak into a microphone all of the different things that can happen in baseball. It seems to me that it is a long and expensive process that goes unappreciated in the modern age of sports games. I've been amazed by it since Sports Talk Baseball but I think that people take it for granted in general.Comment

Here is the video:
MLB 13 The Show with MLB 2k13 commentary.
Such a big difference. When I bought my first show game 09, I thought wow the commentary is great...now 5 years later it's almost exactly the same. Time for a MAJOR upgrade IMO.San Francisco 49ers

Couldn't agree more. After seven years of listening to Vasgersian's complacency when calling home runs, the last thing I want is another announcer who calls the game like it's a matter of fact instead of a thrill ride.Comment

Duane Kuiper and Mike Krukow or Jon Miller and Mike Krukow. Either pairing would make me happy, and this comes from an A's fan that hates almost everything about the Giants. But I have to give respect to their broadcast crew, I'll listen or watch to a game just because of them.Athletics Franchise:
