    What happened to this presentation?

I was just wondering what happened to the reading of the lineups like in this video

I don't know if 08 was the last year to have the lineups actually read but i think it would be great to have back like that
    New York Yankees
    New York Jets
    New York Knicks

Very nice find.... Ditto "bring it back". A verbal lineup intro offensively and defensively.....

That intro is definitely better than what we have now, although there isn't the most natural flow to when he is going through the names either.
Other than that the commentary as it is now is flat out disappointing, in my opinion probably the worst in all major sports games.

I'm playing a franchise with the Indians and I have to listen to the same story about Micheal Bourns first season every single game, what makes it worse is that they won't give any background info about any other player on my team. I have even gone without skipping cut scenes for a few games since I read that you prevent some of the commentary from triggering that way but nothing..

I have been playing the Vita version only till this year and I have to say the commentary not that much better on the PS 4 at all. I really don't get how some people on here can still defend it. For me neither what they say and how they say it is on the level it should be in the year 2014.

I dont think anyone defends it. They just dont care. Sure id like for Alex Gordon at 30 to stop being called a young hitter. But id much rather have the ball stop bouncing 20ft after it hits the backstop. If i wanted to hear realistic presentation id just go watch a game.

It's comments like these that make commentary seem like such an unimportant, "small potatoes" type of thing. I guess I could say "If I want realistic ball physics I'd just go watch a game."

It is and unimportant small potatoes thing to me. It has no effect on the game for me. No one said you had to have the same opinion or like mine.

But your original comment makes no sense, which is what I was pointing out. How can watching a real game be a satisfactory alternative to playing a video game?
