That is dedication right there.

I understand NBA 2K15 will have shorter seasons in MyLEAGUE and I'm pumped about that, but I'm sure 2K devs would be the first to tell you it's not a "simple fix". You're just flat out wrong here in assuming that and it's really not debatable either.

People tend to look at past games on current gen and say "Oh well they had it here why can't they flip a switch and add it back?"

It's just not reality and I'm a person who would love for them to have that "easy switch".
All fair points...I think I understand what you are getting at now.

I also HATE simming....What I would like then is the ability to customize the number of games played in franchise mode.

I know, I know...You can already adjust it in season mode, BUT season mode isn't as deep as franchise mode and is missing minor league teams.

PLUS...and this is an important point...Even in season mode, MLB The Show screws up shortened seasons by cramming every game into a short period. I'll give an example...If you set the season mode to 29 games, the season will last one month instead of just having one or two games a week for 29 weeks. This means that the season ends in May and the World Series is over before we even get to June!

It's an easy fix, but until it's done, I just can't play this game anymore...I hope this somehow makes its way to someone with some influence over at SCEA.

Even with quick counts...let's say you use fast play and finish games in an average of 30 minutes.

That's 81 hours of baseball gameplay. That doesn't include any time in load screens, scouting, draft, viewing minor system, making roster changes, looking at stats. IMO it would take at LEAST 120 hours to get through a season if you look at that other stuff.

That's 5 entire days of playing The Show.

I feel like the SCEA team has done things to give us options that help us speed up things AND they gave us the option to carry over franchise saves.

I think the OP is in the very small minority with this request. I hear what he's saying, but I doubt they do anything to address this. If I'm SCEA I wouldn't.

Your fix is almost as easy as this was:

I love the Show but it's still in need of many things that could use tweaking and most would probably be an "Easy" fix, but with limited time and budget I don't see these type things being changed anytime soon.

Re: One EASY Thing that Must be Fixed

I play shorter seasons in some of my sports games, but for me, ESPECIALLY for baseball, you have to go the full 162.

Simulating games makes it simulation. I like to have a balance of my on the field play and off the field decisions that determine if I make the playoffs or not. I mean, even if you play half, 81 games, that is still a ton of influence into the out come of the season.

Baseball is such a traditional game, I feel wrong playing anything less than 162. The stats don't add up, they need to be spaced out over this marathon for me. I played a few shorter seasons, but knowing that it wasn't a true Major League Baseball trial by fire to get to the playoffs, I didn't earn it.

Don't be afraid of simming games. You can;t play SIM without a Sim.

Re: One EASY Thing that Must be Fixed

You can carry your saves over to each new version of the show, doesn't this fix this issue? This along with quick counts mean it should not take that long to complete a franchise.
