Closer not going into save situations when simming

This is starting to get a bit frustrating. I've noticed this in two separate chises now when I get into the 2017 season. I have Craig kimbrel, and he's been stuck at 20 something saves for over two months. When I sim games and check the box score, he's not being inserted into the game in save situations. The CPU either puts my setup man in or subs in one of my other middle relievers. I've made sure that it isn't fatigue issue, Kimbrel has been fresh and should've been used.

Overall my team has 38 saves and Kimbrel only has 27 of them. Not to mention the 5-6 blown saves when my middle reliever comes in to close the game and gives up a walk off.

Anybody else experience this?

Never seen this. In my chise, simming most, Kimbrel has the vast majority of saves and will only not be used when he gets a day off.

He finished the season with only 30 saves, and the last 3 only came in games that I actually played. In simmed games my setup man picked up 3 more saves in the final month and 2 more to the middle reliever mentioned in the original post. This is very strange because this has happened to me two times now, in two separate franchises. BOTH times it happened in year 2017.

I've just now got to the start of 2018, and we'll see what happens.
