Just blew two saves in the same game, game four of the world series. Down 3-1 to the Cards. I swear no matter who I have closing, we blow it. If its a save situation I lose about 90% of the time.

    Actually very realistic.

Re: Share your depressing moments of The Show 14

This happened about twelve hours ago and I am still depressed.......

Played the first 41 and last 43 games of a 162 game season with Mets. No quick counts no sims in the games I played. I had the second best record in baseball at 91-71 but the Braves had the best record at 92-70. The Braves lost 5 out of their last 6 but I can't gain any ground because 6 out of 8 starting position players are on massive cold steaks and can't hit anything. Fastballs down the middle are hit weakly to the infield or to the warning track (incredibly frustrating). So I lose my last 6 in a row and the Braves win the division

Now I have to play in the wild card game against Arizona. The good news is the game resets hot and cold steaks in the playoffs so I can finally hit again. I saw a 6 run lead go down to a 2 run lead in the 6th inning and a 3 run lead go to 2 in the 8th. Twice in the 9th I had Arizona down to their last strike using my entire pitching staff (starters included) but they ended up tying the game in the 9th and winning in the 15th inning. Final score 10-9.

So after investing about 100 hours over 4 months in this game that's how my season ends......I don't think I will ever play this game again......That massive cold steak at the end of the year did me in. Without it, I win the division and don't have to play in that one and done wildcard game

Playing a game vs. The Reds a few days ago in my franchise. Bottom of the 9th 2 outs, guy on second, down 1 run. Cutch at the plate, last chance for my Bucs. I drive a deep fly ball to left center. It's going...it's going! CF spidermans the bullpen wall at PNC (at least 12ft tall) and robs the HR. I was shaking from the high & lows of my emotions over a 5 second span. This catch was like that guy in Japan a few years ago. It was nuts.

Inability to finish after getting the count to 0-2. Just pitched a game in my Fantasy draft franchise and kept track of how many 0-2 counts I worked in the game. 14 0-2 counts, 4 Strikeouts generated from said counts. CPU doesn't want to chase the High heat or a Curve breaking out of the zone. When they do it's magically popped up, fouled off or grounded to an infielder.

Top 13th inning, tied 2-2. I load the bases with 1 out and conveniently the CPU starts nipping corners and getting calls so I'm forced to swing at borderline pitches and don't score.

Bottom 13th, 2 outs, none on. Grounder to short, Jeter bobbles for an error. Next batter clean single. First and second, 2 outs. Next batter hard line drive to right. Runner at third stops knowing he's meat . . . but WAIT . . . Beltran can't field the ball cleanly and the run scores to win the game. Two errors, one inning to lose the game.

Getting no hit by Chris Young. I blame it on the fact that it was in Seattle, in the daytime, with that darn light blue ticker behind the pitchers head. Still it was my saddest sports video game moment ever.

Right now. I'm a little depressed, at the realization the MILB season is pretty much over, which means November is right around the corner, which in turn means it's time for Thanksgiving & Christmas, which in turn means I have to spend time with my family, which is REALLY depressing. I sure wish it was time for pitchers & catchers to report.

Being to eager to get hit when bases are loaded.

World series tied 3-3, we're up by 1-0 and I've pitched 8 perfect innings had thrown 95 pitches... He subs me out we lost 2-1.

The fact that I was on fire in my franchise going into June and posting a 55-35 record with Atlanta. Everything had gone my way the entire year basically. Bloop hits, grounders hitting the bag resulting in hits that would have been field, etc.

Then I win the first three games of June only to score 1 run in my next 4 games against the powerful Mets and Cubs. Fortunately I scored 14 runs in the last two games before the break to end on a good note. I scored 5 then a season high of 9 off of rookie Wada.

The most honest depressing moments in MLB The Show have to be just playing the game as the Arizona Diamondbacks.

If you're a legit non-drone dbacks fan, you will slowly die every time you see a former dbacks player on an opposing team play well.

Lose to the dodgers on a walk off 1-0 in 13 innings
Next game lose to the Reds by 3 HRs for 4 runs in the 9th inning off my closer
Next game closer gives up a HR in the 9th to send it to extra innings lose off bs fielding
4th game later Clayton Kershaw has 8 perfect innings. first pitch below the strike zone gets smashed back up the middle for the first hit

Lost a game to the Dodgers on a suicide squeeze. Dee Gordon on 3rd with 2 outs and Carl Crawford at the plate. On a 1-1 count, Crawford lays down the bunt as Gordon takes off for home.

I was both shocked that the cpu called this play in that count, and pissed that I lost. But man, what a way to lose a game.

Hate it when you start off hot and not close it.

Was winning 4-1 at the end of the 6th. Reliever sucked and gave up 3 runs. After not scoring the next inning, I put my rookie in to at least neutralize the damage. Nope. He gives up a hit to Joe Mauer with a man on 2nd and 3rd, and the Twins walked off on my Tigers. The TWINS.
