No, I don't really care for any camo jerseys... except maybe the Padres. And now the Pirates will be wearing them on Thurs. home games too. Ugh.

Hopefully this means you can fix the Phillies catcher wearing the wrong helmet with there Home Team afternoon alternate jerseys

The helmet should be Blue not Red.

The catcher is wearing the correct Blue one when he is batting but when he is catching he is wearing the Red one which is wrong and has been for like ever in MLB The Show. And I did report it years ago and for some reason it was never fixed.


As you can see in the screenshot his helmet is the Blue One with the red flap or what ever you call that thing. These are the Home alternate jerseys they always wear in the afternoon. But in MLB 14 The Show and all early versions he is wearing the fully Red one that they wear with there main night game jersey.

They could just as easily let the player decide what helmet the players wear. If they broke it down into hat, top, and pants, they could just as easily add helmet. Why not take it even further than that and add socks and cleats?

It would be even better if they could do away with duplicate slots and they can be turned into more hat and jersey slots.

For the love of god SCEA PLEASE do not put the new Twins uniforms in, or at least please leave in last years haha. This is the only time I will ever say I don't want something in the game that is realistic. The new Twins jerseys are IMO just awful so I wouldn't even mind them being left out.

For the love of god SCEA PLEASE do not put the new Twins uniforms in, or at least please leave in last years haha. This is the only time I will ever say I don't want something in the game that is realistic. The new Twins jerseys are IMO just awful so I wouldn't even mind them being left out.

This makes me think about the new year-to-year save feature. If a team changes jerseys or minor-league affiliates, are the old ones going to carry over as well? Has this been answered?

I'm a huge uniform nerd. I'm glad scea acknowledged this. I'd love to see more slots too. For 162 games, it's nice to have such flavor. If I can help, I would be glad to do so. I created a thread last season and I believe I identified most, if not every inaccurate detail...whether or not it was a program error or style guide issue, I cannot say as I haven't seen a guide in 5 years.


Here's my old post if the powers that be want to browse it or if someone wants to correct something...naturally it won't contain 2015 changes like the Pirates camo, new mets/twins, new reds bp, etc.


UPDATE 7/16/14

Astros: Good
A's: Good (even though the home cap is listed as a road alt and alternates are in wrong column which gives you white road pants and the away uni uses the old green helmet/yellow logo)
Angels: Good
Rangers: Error - Squatchees on hats are now same color as hat instead of contrast. I think the pants stripes are a little off as well.
Mariners: Good, but if history serves me correctly, the Pilots are not part of their history.


Twins: Error - Use the previous "M" on batting helmet of home alternate (throwback). Should be TC.
Indians: Error - Only 1 batting helmet is used (dark with red C), undershirts and accessories for cream unis should be red, numbers on BP should be blue with white outline.
Tigers: Good
Royals: Good
Sox: Missing - throwback BP hat, throwback batting helmet. Away pants are no longer white/black stripes like on sleeves as they are just a black piping now.


Rays: Missing - Columbia blue Sunday jersey, fauxback helmet, striped stirrup socks, 1980's fauxback road uniforms. Error - All blue Columbia hat on fauxbacks instead of front panel cut out only, fauxbacks should have yellow socks with blue stirrups over them, nameplate on BP should be outlined in navy blue and not just single color white, both throwbacks use green as the equipment color and it should be black. The Green era uniforms are absent.
Yanks: Good...except they are the only team where they are bigger than the brand so they shouldn't have any majestic logos on their uniforms.
Sox: Good
O's: Good...except when you choose all home alt choices, you get the road helmet.
Jays: Missing - Red BP hat, minor striping details on away unis

Mets: Missing - Blue Alt home, Blue Alt road, Blue/Orange Alt hat, All white unis Error - black drop shadow on away uniforms. Error - They have camo helmets, don't use a lower case d for D'Arnaud. Their blue alts are seen in the crowd too.
Nats: Error - Road socks should be red
Marlins: Error - Home BP cap is not all white. Should just be white front panel
Braves: Error - Alternate away combo has a gray pair of pants with blue piping when they wear their normal grays. Missing - Red Military jersey, Alt throwback BP cap
Phils: Good

Pirates: Error - New font should ONLY be on home/road/alt and not on every jersey. Throwback shouldn't have pinstripes, but thick stripes. Wrong shade of yellow on home jersey. Missing - Throwback BP hat, Throwback Yellow Pillbox hat, Military Jersey/Hat (since they feel the need to include them for other teams)
Brewers: Missing - Gold jersey, Home Navy jersey. Error - wrong blue shade on home throwback, away warm up is actually a home warm up on throwback days and should have yellow block font with another yellow outline and use the throwback helmets.
Reds: Good, but apparently the black/red away cap is missing and an option again this year.
Cards: Missing - Sunday cap
Cubs: Error- Font on alternate away.


Giants: Good
Dodgers: Missing road alt pants
Padres: Error- BP hat should have white panel.
Rox: Good (even though the vests are worn with black undershirts and the purple hat hasn't been used in years and I think the helmet is wrong)
D-Backs: Good




For the most part, teams are pretty good. The Mets, Rays, and Brewers probably suffer the hardest as current jerseys are left out in favor of military (5 Mondays for the Mets) or other throwbacks (Brewers) taking up a slot.


There are ton of other throwback choices that would have been better as the Phils (old red), O's (Ripken era), Cubs (multiple), D-Backs (which all they need are white hats) are slated to wear them during the season.


Also, special days like the July 4th, Memorial Day Camo, etc are not included and many pull overs fall in the "template" of button down and their elastic waistband pants have belt loops.


Call me crazy, but I've sworn I've seen the Rays Columbia blue, Mets white, and Brewers gold in the stands. I could possibly see that maybe older fan models might have had the Rays/Mets because they used to be in the game, but I'm telling you, I saw the Brewers. It just might be some fan fashion stuff as there is a yellow Pirate jersey with white letters in their stands.

I had a friend who interned in MLB for designs and promotion or whatever fancy name he was given. They protect that thing like no tomorrow. It's very cool to look through if you're into unis and logos. MLB is probably the most secretive and protective of the big 4. It's all digital now (I believe) and you need an access code to get to see it. Heck, come to think of it, it might have been even longer than 5 years ago. I'd love to see a current one just for my own personal interest and to compare what actually sees the field. http://www.mlbstyleguide.com/ I have pretty much zero design contacts nowadays. My friend's husband is a Reebok hockey rep, so once in a while I'll get wind of a hockey team's rebrand or new uniform or he'll show me the catalog before it's released to the vendors...nothing too exciting. www.sportslogos.net is where all the gossip is and there are people on there with guide access...and they won't give an inch.

There's been discussion on here about The Show perhaps including a create-a-uniform feature sometime in the next few years. Knight seems to think that it's bound to happen. I've said before that this is a feature that I would love to have because I could use it to work around "Style Guide" issues, create my own designs, or recreate certain throwbacks. I don't think it would be that hard to create, and I actually have put a lot of thought into this. Are the developers allowed to comment on whether such a feature could ever be in the game?
