Re: MLB 15 The Show Wishlist, Ours and Yours
This game needs more attention to detail in certain areas:
1. A simple, but meaningful change would simply be a more through tracking of statistics in online franchise mode. Upon starting a new franchise, give players the option to start keeping league/franchise statistics or import them from MLB history. Keep and show league, team, and user records for everything with the ability to compare it to other users in the league. If I hit 41 doubles with Johnny Baseball in year 2 of my online franchise, I want to know where that ranks on the all-time doubles list, my individual franchises doubles list, and among my fellow users for a season. Keep track of both seasonal and career totals for any statistic that is possible to measure and put it in an easy to access menu.
2. Adding menu's devoted to statistics tracking and ranking, including a more thorough player's card, wouldn't be difficult. Making franchise mode more dynamic would be. I'd love to see a much deeper financial experience in online franchise mode, complete with a sophisticated free agency experience, AI generated events like expansion and relocation, and maybe even a more cut-throat experience (as an option) where poor performances and bad financial decisions can lead to situations where you are forced to sell and that franchise mode ends. I'd love to see a more sophisticated minor league system. Obviously there are a lot of ways that franchise mode can become a deeper experience that other statistically driven games do better than this one.Comment

The ability to edit coaches' numbers. Editing names would be cool too but I MUST be able to change their number. Drives me mad when I sign some random coach and it turns out he's wearing the same number as my star player or a retired number.
Speaking of retired numbers, I know they've pre-programmed the real retired numbers, but I'd like to be able to retire more, for my team and others, as the franchise progresses. I know you can edit players' numbers and stuff but still. If I'm playing against the Yankees next year and some guy comes up wearing #2 (because it's not officially retired by the team yet) that hurts the immersion.
If they could pre-program World Series banners or something that would be great too. Like the Giants have banners for their World Series-winning years on the outfield wall. They'll add a 2014 one next year. If I'm playing as the Giants and win it again in 2016, I want another one added, etc. Basically just copy the designs of whatever the team does to acknowledge its World Series wins and set it so more get added to the stadium the next year if they win. As it is now if you win the World Series the next year will start and it's like nothing happened.Comment

Most major things are all covered here.
a small graphical thing id like to see that NBA2k nails is the shimmer effect material for numbers. On the Show they are flat and matt looking, even a waxy texture.
Anyone who has played 2k on last gen or this gen will know what i mean and how realistic looking they got that material lookingComment

Re: MLB 15 The Show Wishlist, Ours and Yours
A few things I'd like to see...
I'm happy we'll finally have RTTS year-to-year saves. It would also be nice to be able to carry over your created player but not necessarily their career. I may want to start over but without spending all the time creating my player's likeness again. It would also be nice if rosters could carry over so all the guys that create the full-minors and other rosters don't have to start over from scratch.
One minor area that I feel like has gone backwards over the years in RTTS is being aware what's going on with your teammates and the rest of baseball. I've noticed players on my own team missing only to find out they were traded, injured, or sent down to AAA. I also liked the newspaper game summaries to keep up with games I didn't play in. Maybe something that will improve with the new Radio Show.
Trade logic is a little goofy at times. Playing for the Cubs in RTTS, Javier Baez and Kris Bryant had both been traded away by the end of the first season with little return. I realize these were user-created rosters but they were ranked appropriately as up and coming prospects on a rebuilding team. Trades just seem a little off sometimes.
Last, I'd like to see the new Wrigley renovation in the game. This may be wishful thinking though because they only recently finalized the plans with the landmark commission and it doesn't look like it will even be complete by opening day.
Thanks the development team for actually taking input from us. I was still blown away when I put in a request on here for my last name, Heitz, to be added. I checked the day the game came out, not expecting for a minute that it would be there, but there it was with Matt Vasgersian pronouncing it correctly. No more Heinz RTTS player for me. Thanks!Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show Wishlist, Ours and Yours
I've been saying it for years, but the salaries need to either be modifiable (like with potential) or they need to somehow account for bloated contracts and proper budget restrictions.
It's just way too easy to overlook bad contracts (BJ Upton, Uggla, etc.) because they are so relatively low that it's easy to eat them and still sign whomever I want.
That's my biggest issue with the game - budget/trade/FA logic.Comment

Simple request. Add a "play next appearance" option after a road to the show game so you don't always have to exit and go to your main screen to advance to the next game. People would LOVE that option and use it every time they played.Comment

FRANCHISE
Something important that needs to be fixed: RARELY (I almost want to say NEVER) do you see upcoming free agents re-sign with their current team without hitting free agency during the first five days following the World Series of exclusive negotiations.
In the game, most big name free agents don't even hit the market and give you a chance to sign them, which is completely unrealistic.
Please like this post if you agree, I hope I'm not the only one.Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show Wishlist, Ours and Yours
1. Better bullpen management by AI, particularly when it comes to the use of LOOGYs. This has been a major issue for the series since the beginning and never seems to get any better. Even if a lefty pitcher was getting crushed most real life managers would never bring on a RH pitcher to face a lefty.
2. More responsive fielders, especially corner infielders and outfielders on plays near the wall. Maybe it's just me but it's near impossible to make a diving stop on a hard hit ball down the lines. It's also been tough making catches on fly balls that are headed for the wall.
3. Fewer opposite field home runs. This has continually gotten better with each iteration but could still use improvement. At least they've finally gotten rid of the opposite field home run on inside pitches. That was always a pet peeve of mine.
4. Quick access to stats. I want to be able to view season stats for the current pitcher or hitter with one press of a button while in game
5. Player of the Month awards for each league
6. More doubles down the line. Too many hot shots down the line turn into singles. In over 120 games I have yet to see a double down the line past the first baseman by me or the CPU.
7. Fewer shadows over home plate. 1pm start time, mid July...the shadows should not start creeping in over the plate in the middle of summer as if it were a 4pm start.
8. Fix players sliding into second on a hit and run.
9. Catchers make too many plays around the plate. They're all quick as cats and there's just too many plays around the plate.
10. AI hitters that really punish you for pitches over the middle of the plate as well as high offspeed pitches
11. Probably not realistic for this year's release but I would love for pre-orders to give us access to a spring training mode a couple of weeks early.Last edited by djep; 12-12-2014, 09:46 AM.Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show Wishlist, Ours and Yours
Ability to fully customize seasons so we can authentically recreate classic season. With all these amazing rosters out there, it would be great to be able to replay say the 1978 season with correct teams, leagues, divisions, playoffs etc...Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show Wishlist, Ours and Yours
One of the most frustrating things with Franchise mode is not knowing what the players want in arbitration. You have to guess way too much and it affects who you can sign as a free agent because you do not know how much of your budget you have to work with. The players should tell you the $ amount they want so you can make an educated decision about how far apart the money actually is.Comment
