In need of info

I feel fortunate to learn about this site and join the community. Next month I will finally purchase a ps4 (only for the purposes of picking up MLB 14 the show). I have a few questions I am hoping the community can help me with.

1) Is the first smart thing to do when getting the game is uploading roster/player updates? If so is there a one final list that I will have to update or are there a series of updates.

2) Is there a way I can put Joe Maddon as the Cubs manager and change the Twins manager? Can I create a manager?

3) Is there a thread or a destination online that I can find all the MLB 14 The show players information? Like there playing levels and salary?

4) Is there a thread or a place/destination online I can find the team overall budgets? If not can someone please give me the budgets of the Pirates, Rockies, Reds & White soxs

1. Your best bet for Roster is either use the highly rated OS Full Minors rosters or one of the hybrids. I know someone is working on an end of season roster. To be honest I NEVER use SCEA's rosters because I never play online and use OSFM (the ones I told you to download) for franchise
and RTTS.

2. Cannot create a manager. Only way to get Maddon on the Cubs is in a Franchise and do 30 team control and fire him at the end of season as Rays and then change teams to Cubs and sign him as Manager.

3. Not that I know of but your best bet is to ask Knight165. He is the mastermind behind the OSFM roster set. But to my knowledge we can't edit salaries.

4. No thread that gives out Budget information for all teams.

You don't have to wait til the end of the season to fire him. You can do it immediately after you start a franchise. Unless, he wants to wait for the off season to do it.

Wasn't thinking...haven't played the game in awhile because I wasn't overwhelmed by it this year.

Thanks guys for the info. I haven't had a gaming system since Xbox 2 so I'm trying to get acclimated to the technology. So I'm able to upload roster updates from this site? Is there a link to how that's done? I don't want to play online. I want to play franchise fantasy league.

Would I be correct in my assumption the Pirates, Reds & Rockies team total budgets are under 100 million? I want to use a small market team. I like to handicap myself as much as possible. With that said I don't think the Astros or Marlins budget give you a possibility of being successful.

Where you are doing a fantasy draft, the budgets get changed I think. And to download rosters, you can do it 2 ways, either through the vault in the game or like you said a link on here. I can't find the offline download link for the original OSFM roster. If you message Knight165 I am sure he will be more than willing to provide you with the offline file. I asked him awhile back for his MLB 11 set and he was more than gladly to send it to me.
