CPU teams not tendering contracts to their own players in Franchise

I'm currently in the offseason of a 30 team franchise (with 29 of the teams set to full auto). I'm right before the Dec 2. non tender deadline. I'm running into a problem where the CPU teams only tender a contract to a few of their players. For example, the twins won't tender a contract to Brian Dozier for some reason. The only other second basemen in the organization are 61 and 59 overall. If I sim past the deadline, each organization is left with 40-50 players and many of the to top prospects becoming FAs because they weren't tendered a contract.

I realize I could manually take control of those teams and tender contracts myself but that will take SO long. Is there something I'm doing wrong? In the mode specific options, everything is set to Auto for the profile associated with those 29 teams.

    Any thoughts?

Do you have everything set to auto for the other 29 teams? I have not ever run into that. There are the usual guys they non tender due to performance, salary or age, but never wholesale non tendering.

yeah if I had to guess, the option of re-signing players/free agents (don't play w/30 team control so not sure what its called) is set to manual.

I have now completed 2 offseasons and have never had an issue with the cpu not tendering contracts to players, outside of a few.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Yeah everything is set to auto for the other 29 teams. They offer some contracts and they definitely bid on players in the free agent pool and offer contracts to a few of their own players, but it seems like WAY too many are being non-tendered. On average, how many players are teams left with after the non-tender deadline? In my franchise its between 45 and 55. And like I said, its not just the worst players in the organization, its players like a 23 year old 73 overall and a B potential.

I am running into this as well. It takes some time but you have to do it team by team--takes 45 minutes if you are slow. Start with your team and go to manage contracts. L1 until you see "yankees free agents" I think it is and scroll down just selecting the names with "contract renewable" -- skip the rest. Just offer them a cheap 1 year contract. Then, R2 and do the next team. Since they were offered a contract, they should get renewed automatically when that date comes. Save the franchise and sim ahead to make sure it worked but it did for me. No reason not to do them all as non-tenders are not prevalent until arb time.

Never had this issue and ran through a lot of offseasons. Make sure you have your profiles associated correctly to the other teams.

You will have to go through your manually controlled teams (typically only the ones you want to play with) and tender/renew, but that's only for your team.
