I can't find anything. Only played a few games when it came out but now I am trying to download any patches/roster updates and can't find it anywhere in the menus. Have no idea on how to go about creating my own rosters etc... This menu system is the most confusing I have ever seen in a video game.

Honestly not really, but I guess this is a subjective matter. NBA 2k14 on NG was much worse. Took me forever to figure how to go online.
I think the menu system is solid in MLB 14. -

Never had a problem with the menu, seems pretty intuitive to me.
Now McDonald's menu, that's another story.

Is this your first time playing? Ever? I had no problems finding everything. But I agree with the previous comments, 2K by faaaaar has the most confusing. It took me 10 minutes to find the sliders one year. And I was convinced that where I ultimately found it, I must have tried three times prior. The worst I've ever seen has always been with 2K.Comment

Yeah, 2K has done much worse, especially when they had they that whole "use the analog stick to thumb through menus" thing going on. It's like they were trying to be too slick for their own good.
Having said that, all menus could learn a thing or two from FIFA. The panes are easy to browse and the game automatically places your recent selections at the forefront. Genius really.www.heyimbill.com | sports poster art and other cool stuffComment

the menu system needs some improvements, especially the mode-specific ones, but overall I like it. More interesting than the previous menus.
If you're new to the game just take a few minutes and explore all the menus. You'll get it eventuallyComment

The menu in MLB 14 is good-looking (flat style is certainly in vogue...), but I am not a fan of how some frequently used menu items move around based on screen. I tend to remember the location of item by how many clicks it takes to get there, and it took me a while to re-learn how things are no longer in the same location and not really consistent found in the same place across different screens in various modes.Comment
