Player models, proper time of day progression, authentic broadcast camera, fans catching balls, corrected spin ball physics, and this and that... there are tons of things this game can improve on, but there are things I'm just waiting on from this series first and foremost.



Sounds like it would be easier for you to just improve your last name.

I remember some old WWE video games that offered this solution - and it was a great one. You pick two sets (first, last, nickname) of names. The first was for displaying, the second was for speaking.

The first set would visually appear wherever needed. Each alphanumberic character was individually associated with different fonts and stuff, so it displayed wherever it needed to. You could type anything you wanted, because this name was never vocally referenced.

The second set of names was used only by announcers and commentators. It came from a predefined set of names, each of which already had voice clips and stuff associated with it.

This would do wonders in The Show. It doesn't matter whether your last name is Wright, Wryte, or Right. All 3 have the same pronunciation. With this system, you'd be able to spell your name out correctly on jerseys and stuff, and still be able to retain the color commentary and announcer intros associated with the name "Wright".

Me personally, I think this will be a HUGE leap from '14. I hate to even mention The Show in the same sentence as Madden but just take a look at the jump the visuals made from year one to year two on next gen. Now, I'm not saying that I strictly expect the visuals to be improved but with how well the devs listen to feedback (most of the time) and how active they are on these forums I anticipate a lot of our input will/has been heard and they are doing everything they can to give us what we want. The bar has been set pretty high in my eyes, but to be fair....I'm buying the game no matter what they do or do not add.

This is a great thread! A lot of great ideas/asks. I would welcome most of them. I do have to say though that if this game never evolved from where it is now they would still get my $70 every year. best game play out there IMO.

They have that now. You select your name, and then select your audio name.

If they actually had the system I described, you wouldn't have to select your name, you'd be able to type it in.

I type in Ehlis and have it pronounced Ellis.

Yeah I realized that right after making the post (which I deleted).

I had my games mixed up. I was thinking of a certain other sports game where you type your name in once, and either it gets recognized by the system and used by commentators, or it doesn't. (and there's an awkward silence in place of your name, or they say your position or something). You have no option to pick a comparable "audio name", or to compromise and pick something else altogether.

All the stuff that's been previously mentioned; improved physics, presentation, animations, commentary, create a stadium, etc.)

I would also like to see enhanced AI. Trades, coaching. If possible a rivalry system where players and teams remember past encounters and act accordingly with specific animations included.

Also amped up content (animations and commentary) for huge career events (breaking records, first major league game, retirement, hall of fame) So that those moments have all the emotion, pomp and circumstance that they should.

I totally agree with you about making MLB 15 The Show look like a true "Next Gen" game rather then a port of the PS3 version. MLB 14 The Show PS4 version looks great no doubt about that. But that's not really saying very much because the PS3 version of 14 also looks great and in some ways even better then the PS4 version. If you look at the latest versions of other sports games on the PS4 they look in my opinion WAY better then MLB 14 The Show does. I hope MLB 15 The Show PS4 version will not disappoint in the Graphics and Presentation area!

MLB 14 The Show PS4 version looks great. But "great" is not good enough for me. I want to be able to say that MLB 15 The Show looks freak in fantastic! lol

I think if the PS3 days are anything that shows a pattern, then the PS4 should look absolutely sublime by 16/17.

sad. but its the main reason i didn't get the game last year.

When i got MLB 14 the Show..I was very excited. But, when I noticed and realized that i wasn't able to turn off the HR celebration camera. I sold my game. i was turn off by it because it killed the TV broadcast style experience and also i wasn't able to see where the baseball landed. No- doubter or border liners..I want the option to turn on & off the HR celebration camera back on MLB 15 The Show. I plan on getting the ps3 version since I have no plans in getting the ps4 anytime soon. i hope that SCEA addresses this topic/issue and puts back the option. they should of never taken it off in the first place. I will determine if I'll get it or not. If the option is not in MLB 15..i'll be sticking with MLB 13 a little longer.
