I'm hoping someone can answer this? And please correct me if I'm wrong

So in order to be in the game (name and face) you have to play at least one game in the majors or have had to be on the DL for entire year before.

So why in 14 were we missing a real life picture of Ruggiano and others and also in the create a player name bank why were we missing names such as Yamandi, D'Arnaud and others?

And why can't they just put all MLB players names in the create a player name bank? Example I know Tomas from AZ won't have his picture in the game but why can't they put his name in?

That's three separate questions.

To be in the game you have to be a member of the players union. General rule of thumb is had to have played a game but there are several exceptions to that.

Having a picture is as simple as if they got the face scanned or not which they do during spring training. No scan, no face.

Name bank is a completely different issue which I will let someone else answers who can give more detail than me.

Are you talking about Mlb 15 the show?

Because he wasnt in mlb 14 the show even though it was his second year as manager.

Alot of the coaches faces are off. Look at Kirk Gibson in the Show. This is the real John Gibbons just a bad representation of him, but that is beside the point.

Oh k thanks, i never looked at that screen, and they never say his name in game, and it looks nothing like him. So i didn't even know it was suppose to be him.

He might as well not be in the game if he looks like that though.

Some coaches faces are bad. Kirk Gibson is another. They probably didn't do a facial scan so SCEA did what they could. Same goes with Cespedes, Wacha, and Machado etc.......

I read somewhere that all players, managers, and coaches have to fill out paper work given to them and send it back to SCEA and guys like John Gibbons just never got around to it. lol. therefore that is the reason his face is not in the game.

He didn't get a facial scan. He either declined to do one or wasn't around when SCEA was at the facility doing scans. The scans are done in spring training the previous season and some are done through the season.

As for paperwork. They don't turn it into SCEA they turn it into the MLBPA. YES, managers and coaches are part of that and have to turn in paperwork like players do. That's why some managers and coaches are missing. When they change organizations they have to turn in the paperwork. If it's not turned in by a certain date there is no way for SCEA to include them.
