My question is can we use the same ROSTER files (Example: OSFM) from MLB14 in MLB15? Or does the crew have to create the full minor league system in the MLB15 copy?

MLB 15: Year to year saves
I know that you can start a franchise on MLB14 and then continue it on MLB15.

We (Members of OS) don't know for sure yet, but we are leaning towards no. -
Re: MLB 15: Year to year saves
I like my reds 40 man roster to be real,so I've edited some of the players to be some of the guys who aren't on game. My fear is that I'll end up with 2 Jessie Winkers on my roster or I won't get the real player the show has added

Re: MLB 15: Year to year saves
My guess is you dont have to worry about duplicates because it will be a port of whatever you have. Its a reproduction of your franchise file. No more no less. You wont get new players, duplicates etc...you'll get "exactly" the same thing you already have.Comment

Re: MLB 15: Year to year saves
If you want to fire up a brand new franchise but with the latest OSFM, but not have to wait here is my suggestion.
DL the best up to date off-season OSFM roster you can before the season starts. Then create your franchise with that roster on 14. Then upload to cloud, then DL to MLB 15 and your ready to start. Now Playing on PS5:
CFB 26 Hurricanes/Fresno State Year 2
MLB The Show 25 - 2025 Yankees Year 1
MLB The Show 25 1985 Yankees Year 1

Re: MLB 15: Year to year saves
There are so many questions. Would stances be the same when ported over? If they add full single A rosters, will we have to sign an additional 10 FA to fill in roster? Man, I am super excited to see how things pan out.Angels= 2025 World Series Champions!!Comment

Re: MLB 15: Year to year saves
I bet ur roster file wont carry over BUT whats in ur franchise will be replicated, so basically...dont restart. Wouldn't make sense for u to put it in the cloud and when u download it to the new game the rosters be completely random.Comment

Re: MLB 15: Year to year saves
It probably just works off of the cloud. You can upload your franchise or road to the show to the cloud now, and then download them from the cloud with the new game. Rosters are currently not able to be uploaded to the crowd.
What would be really cool is if someone created a 2015 Full Minors Opening day roster and a franchise that began on opening day of 2015. The schedule would be different, sure, but the rosters would be accurate, which is more important in the long run. Then people could download that save file and start/save their franchise so it is ready to go when the new game is released.Comment

I don't know how SDS will pull this off, but as long as it works, they can do it with Pixie Dust & Magic, FAICTalk about things nobody cares.
