There's actually a rule in ASA softball (probably baseball as well) that actually makes it illegal to run the bases in reverse order to prevent a mockery of the game being made.

I actually have a baseball trivia book that speaks of a team that tried to do a double-steal, and when the guy stole second and the other guy stole home it didn't work, so he stole first base again the next pitch to perform it one more time, and they were successful. After that, stealing in reverse order was disallowed, haha.

Yep, Jimmy Piersall ran the bases backwards to celebrate his 100th home run, leading to the rule of not being allowed to run the bases in the wrong direction to make a travesty of the game.

What's actually really funny about this is we could have all experienced this glitch without knowing it. As long as the home run cam doesn't activate where it shows the guy and you don't look at your baserunner window or the replay. who knows how many times this bug has occurred!

If you go to Kendrys' stance and look at the animation for his RH Homerun, it actually shows him going towards 3rd after he hits it. They must've mirrored a LH Homerun animation and forgot that it would have him run towards 3rd.
