Relief Pitching and bunting with QC..

The Show is absolutely my favorite game. I love it and I love the QC feature. I only have two issues with it. I wish there was a way of shutting it down for a batter when you want to make a sacrifice bunt. To many times I have had a bunt situation and the pitch count would be 2 strikes or not in favor of the batter. So you couldn't bunt. The other issue is with relief pitching. I don't use the warm up feature and with QC as it states you can put a pitcher in and he is already warmed up. The problem is every time I put a reliever in he already has a pitch count on him from the previous pitcher. I wish I could bring him in with a 0 count, after the first pitch, they could make it whatever they wish. When going to the Bull pen when the warm up feature is on, they used to have a screen that said ( Schedule to put in game. ) but for some reason, I don't see this anymore. Does anyone know of a work around to put a pitcher in the game with a 0 count using the QC. If so, please advise.

IMO I try to see the big picture so I have little issue with QC and bunting and in truth bunting is a lost art with most hitters BUT I think SCEA should code in maybe a 1-1 count when its a bunting situation with a pitcher up and maybe late innings for other batters , just my 2 cents

Prompt that says: "Next AB? Yes/No" after each AB would fix this.

Yes moves on with the QC for the next hitter.

No takes you to the pause screen.

It automatically starts hovering on 'Yes' for an easy button press to move it along faster in the early innings.

The way I look at it is if your playing with QC and you come up with a 2 strike count and wanted to bunt...you really have suspend belief that you attempted but failed to lay down a bunt. If your coming up with less than a 2 strike count you can attemot the bunt. And in the NL how many pitchers consistently bunt well?

It's not a big deal. And I am a baseball junkie, purist etc. but I know playing on quick counts I am not being pure but that is the trade off for being able to play a game in half the time.

But as far as bringing in a relief pitcher I agree it should be able to reset the count.

QC is awesome and I am sure it will evolve but a prompt after every pitch? Defeats the whole purpose.

Yeah you pretty much nailed and thats why its called QC and I think it plays amazingly well after SCEA first try .

Agree wholeheartedly. Bunting is easier than real games , and I can still usually get one down. I like the additional pressure of trying to succeed , hit away , or even walk if I have 3-2 count.

The biggest problem I have with QC when pitching is that I don't know what's been thrown to the hitter. As most of use surely know, pitching is in large part, setting up a hitter. Working him away with something or in with a fastball then away with a slider. If a hitter has a 2-2 count I'd like to know which pitches he's seen so far in the at-bat.

I really thought I'd use QC in MLB 14 when I first heard about it. I didn't use it once and played a full season, all 162 games.

Just put a thing in the pause menu to disable QC for the next 1 batter, or 1 inning.

You pause and pick it before the at-bat starts (or inning), or you don't.

Everyone wins.

Yeah I think this would be a bad idea. I agree- the whole idea is that their ratings (with a bit of randomness) determine what the count is going to be. If you have someone up there and he starts with 2 strikes, you just have to assume (as a previous poster said) that they failed to lay down the bunt.
