I grew up watching the Braves and Maddux, Smoltz, Glavine, Avery back in the 90's. It's where my love of baseball came from. Great team back then.

It amazes me that they only won 1 WS.

15 straight division titles, and only 1 WS. I agree.

Playing my cousin online earlier and had a perfect game going into the 7th. Ended up losing the game in 10 innings.

Ah, that's because the Braves ran into the Yanks in 96 and 99.
1458, not counting playoffs, that's the number of games in a row I haven't missed! Go Yanks!

I'll admit the 1996-2000 Yankees just weren't fair. Especially that 98 team.

                They were completely fair.

I've probably gotten into 7 1/3 innings a few times on the show, but on 2K12, I was 1 strike away when Mark Trumbo singled into left field.

Threw a perfect game with Andy Pettitte a few years ago on either MVP or 2k. I can't remember which it was.

I just remember dropping the controller after the final out and my mouth hanging open. My brother happened to be sitting with me and we just laughed at it.

The funniest thing was the announcers never said anything about it. It was just another game/win for them. My brother was pissed about that.

Other than that, I think the closest I've been since have been no-no's and pgs going into the seventh and giving up a hit or walk almost immediately.

I pitched a perfect game with CC Sabathia in MLB 2k one year. I had a few no-no's in that game but this one was special because CC threw 10 innings of perfect baseball. I won 1-0 in the 10th. What made it even more special is that Paul Byrd (of all people) threw 9 1/3 innings of perfect baseball. That game will forever live in my heart.
