Considering all of the uniforms share the same mesh, you would think adding an extra uniform would be a piece of cake.

Maybe this is one of those situations were brute forcing extra slots breaks the game for teams with the minimum amount of uniforms, and what's really needed is a rewrite of the uniform display screen. I doubt it but its certainly a possibility.

Really the main thing that irks me is that The Show is the only sports game that uses slots. But I'm basically beating a dead horse 50 feet into the ground at this point, so I'm hoping eventually they follow suit with other games and just give us all possible uni's. Last take I have on that.

Rather than to continue to hammer this topic, I'd just like to offer one more "what if" since it's tied to "slots." How about they give us what the team wears, don't name slots, fill slots with unis for teams like the Yankees so it doesn't break the game, create a huge database of historical uniforms, allow us to purchase historical uniforms with stubs, and activate/deactivate uniforms with those slots? Example: I'd get default of the Pirates home, road, black, Sunday, Thursday camo, fill the other slot with the never worn blue/white throwback, allow me to get we are family throwback and swap them with the blue. Blue goes into a virtual storage and I'm still using "slots"

I might be mistaken, but I think Knight had talked about the possibility of a "Uniform Vault," which would be cool, especially if we could upload logos. But really, unless SCEA sees this as an issue, it's not going to change.

That would be amazing.

This is one of many solutions that would work, we just need them to take it seriously and realize how big a part of the game the uniforms are for a lot of people.


Including an option to select your uniform in RTTS falls under that same umbrella for me.

I just wish they would do more classic stuff even if you had to pay extra for it. I think my VG playing may be done. This is the only game I have played for years but I just want to play classics.

oh god don't start with the 'paying for uniforms' stuff.. mobile games are already starting to hit our consoles with that rubbish and it's starting to get worse.

To me, I want to see the classic, and throwback stuff go away completely. This is MLB 15 the show, I want to play the 2015 season, and for it to be as accurate as possible. It isn't supposed to be MLB 1960 The Show, or MLB 1992 the show, so I want to see them stop putting effort into throwback and classic stuff. But that's just my opinion on it, and I know A LOT of people disagree with me. I'd rather all the effort be put into the current uniforms instead of something that hasn't been seen on the field in 45 years. Same with classic stadiums, I hate to waste memory for stadiums that have been gone for years. I don't even want to see the original Yankee Stadium come back into the game. Don't get me wrong, I will always have a soft spot for the old stadium, and the greatest sports related experience of my life was getting to watch a game there in it's final season. But it's gone, and it isn't coming back. So we need to move onto current things that could be fixed, or added.

Often times there is no telling what those uniforms will be until it gets very near to that game. Having a plethora of options is better than having little or no options to most of us. And just because there are more options for the rest of us doesn't mean that you would have to make use of them.

The key thing many people lose sight on is this; always ask for the most options possible. It is better to be able to over customize something than to not be able to customize it at all. Everyone is potentially happy with more options.

Like I said, I know a lot of people disagree with me, and I'm not asking everyone to agree with me. It's just my opinion. And I wasn't talking about stats, I was talking about uniforms and stadiums.

I want to hear more about the uniform upgrades Russell hinted at. I think he was referring to higher resolution uniform models. Is anyone else thinking the same?

What I meant is I don't want a uniform that hasn't been on the field in years taking place of a current uniform.

I think that the perspective on this is probably largely dependant on who your team is. How big of a problem is new uniforms being left out? As a Cubs fan, we only have the home white pinstripes, the road greys, and the blue alternate top. I love having extra alternates and throwbacks to choose from to change it up.
