No I'm not referring to my player, I know I can edit his gear. What I was referring to is when I carry my save over, all the other players in the league will still be wearing generics. And as we know, you can't edit other players in RTTS.
It's not like it completely ruins the save file, but I play like 80% of the time on RTTS. So they add all this awesome new gear and then I likely won't even get to see most of the players around the league wearing it, that's just kind of a bummer. This isn't a complaint by the way, I know that carry over saves is going to come with some limitations and that's just part of the deal. It's just something that makes me consider "hmmm should I start fresh?"
I'm going to be entering 2019 anyway, a ton of real life players have already retired or declined heavily. I wonder how newly drafted players are assigned gear? Completely at random?
There might be a few years down the road in my RTTS where 80% of minor leaguers are wearing licensed gear (not that I would ever see it) and only a handful of major leaguers are wearing it lol.
I'll keep my fingers crossed. That would be awesome.
