He said equipment doesn't transfer over. You have to edit equipment manually if you're using Y2Y saves. (Unless they find a way to get it to work before release)

I'll be continuing my RTTS save since I'm 5 years into it. At least I can add those branded equipments to my player, but it's a bummer that the existing players don't but I guess it makes sense since those items are part of the roster. Maybe new rookie players will have the new equipment?

Considering the huge amount of positives that come with having year-to-year saves, whatever few negatives creep up will be easy for me to deal with.

My biggest concern isn't things like accessories or skin tones or minor league affiliates...what I worry about most is this function working properly in general. Both in the short term and long term. I'd hate to pick up where I left off in my RTTS, play another season or so and come across some massive bug that couldn't reasonably be expected to be found during the QA process.

This is a huge undertaking by the devs. Kudos and much respect to them as nothing like this has ever been done before, as far as I can remember. But there is that part of me that worries about what could happen to my save file before the first patch comes out.

I personally don't play RTTS, but I can certainly understand your frustration on that subject though. Kind of weird your player will be the only one with licensed equipment. I'm sure there is a reason for it though. Goes beyond you and I obviously.

It's a not a huge deal to me in RTTS because I mainly concentrate on my own player and don't see much of the other guys except in the occasional cutscenes. If I were a franchise guy it would be a bigger deal since you are seeing lots of batter walkups, replays, etc.

Here is my situation:

About 15 games left in my season and I don't know when would be the best time to carry everything over. Should I do the postseason with MLB 15?

Also did they address the glitch of prospects who you don't scout at all (complete grey bar) having their correct POT/ATTs listed on the draft screen?

Let's say you didn't find a single prospect and the screen was empty
When you enter the draft it'll fill up with all grey bar prospects
Those grey bar prospects are exactly what their attributes say

That's the glitch

Depends, just start a franchise/rtts with the latest offseason roster play 1 game and then boom you will have the new roster it just doesn't have the licensed equipment and maybe some ratings are off.

and the other problem with that is Tanaka Ventura etc would still be classed as a rookie in mlb the show 15 because you carried over that roster form 14.... competently sucks that we can't just have carry over rosters to save 1 month of roster work re doing everything

I am intersested to know how this would work, because tanaka was a created player last year... if you carry over your franchise to mlb 15, will it have the up to date tanaka and face and protrait?? because if Skin Tones ect are carrying over, how would that work for SCEA created player??? and would they still have the Rookie tag?

I think Ramone wrote a while ago in another thread that the MLB players will be updated with these pieces of info when you transfer your mode save file.

So what about created players by SCEA like tanaka?? and will they still have the Rookie tag next to their name if they are not rookies anymore?

They wont be rookies depending how far along you are in your franchise. According to Ramone we will inherit facial scans for players that got new ones. Apparently it will include players like Tanaka, Lamb, Stroman etc....... The created version will somehow be imported over and the actual SCEA model will be in its place.

On the rookie issue no they wouldn't unless you are still in the first season (2014). And I know Ramone said something about faces. I think they will be updated to the SCEA ones, but I am not positive on that. Search the fact sheet thread for that answer, I think it is in there.

I would wait to start the post season until 15 comes out especially if they did a lot improving to the A.I. trade logic or added new features to the off season, wouldn't you want to take full advantage of the new and improved before kicking of your 2015 season?

I just think this whole franchise transferring to games is useelss (to me) everything is to out of date.. however if they made it for rosters or players to export to different years then it would be usful

It depends on where he is managing in your franchise, if he was the Rays, yes, if he was with the Cardinals, no he would still be there.

EVERYTHING WILL BE THE SAME AS WHEN YOU CHANGED IT OVER, EXCEPT NEW FACES AND SKIN TONES.

If you use 30 team control Maddon would be on the Cubs. Whatever coaches are in your file is what you get when you transfer your file over. You seem to be missing the point and purpose of Y2Y saves man.
