    McCutchen vs Trout

    Hi Guys,
Playing an online franchise. We did a fantasy draft to start the league, and I had #2 pick and took Mike Trout.

Fast forward two seasons, and I was able to sign Andrew McCutchen for 29m/yr in the offseason.

My third outfielder is Allen Craig, a real clunker in the Outfield?

What do you suggest for outfield composition? Who should I play in LF/CF/RF

    Trout
    Fielding 90
    Arm Strength 72
    Arm Accuracy 72
    Reaction 93

    McCutchen
    Fielding 88
    Arm Strength 75
    Arm Accuracy 63
    Reaction 88

    Craig
    Fielding 53
    Arm Strength 58
    Arm Accuracy 46
    Reaction 53

Craig has been a nightmare in RF the past two seasons. I had Andre Ethier (83 fielding) who I was able to platoon with Craig , but I had to deal him to clear salary.

If I had those 3 guys I'd go LF Craig, CF Trout, and RF Cutch. I couldn't put Craig's arm in RF - are you the Braves? Just wondering what park we're talking about.

Yes, I'm the Braves. Only problem is Craig's primary position is RF, so if I move him to LF he's going to take a 20% hit and his fielding will be a 43! I guess that answers the question for me, no?

How about some sort of platoon until you can upgrade the position?

I was thinking he had a LF rating too. I'd just replace him in the late innings and hope he does enough offensively to make up for his atrocious defense.

Right, can't take his bat out of the lineup.

            2014: .283/ 33 HR/ 97 RBI
            2015: .282/ 32 HR/ 96 RBI

if u got any other bats that can handle a 4 or 5 slot in the lineup id go get a RF that has an absolute canon for a arm and say screw the offense. I'm assuming u have Freeman....if u do, i would go that route....just me tho

Easy.. Trout in Center, Clutch in Right and Craig in Left.

Just let them split the outfield between the two of them and play more IFers. You won't lose anything.

Thanks , I do have a minor leaguer who could be ready soon to man RF. His name is Juan Cedeno (75 A, 23 yrs old).

                    Fielding 75
                    Arm 82
                    Contact /power - both mid 50s.

He would be the solution to my defensive woes. We will see , I've upped my hitting from All-Star to HOF so I need the offense for now

                    Thanks for the tips!

                      Re: McCutchen vs Trout

Must not be as easy.... Trout has played left field because of his less than stellar CF metrics. Andrew McCutchen has manned center with no issues, including a gold glove. Allen Craig is too slow for left field.

Keep Cutch in center and save Trout's legs in left. Trout is best profiled as a left fielder to keep him healthy and in the lineup. Of course, Cutch is just important in the lineup, but plays a better CF.

In my opinion, I'd have Trout in left, Cutch in center, and Craig in right.

And to me... that's an easy decision.

So basically, you still have a hard decision.
