Re: MLB 15 The Show Fact Sheet - Gameplay Reveal Scheduled For February 5th on Twitch
If they had to pay or get permission from tatoo artists to use their work then the neck tats that guys like Felix, Yadi, prince etc have would not be in the game. If you have played this game and been around here long enough you should know by now that some logical questions are gonna get copped out and skirted around because for some reason they don't wanna admit that they just don't have time to waste on that or they flat don't wanna do it. I get lied to by customers every day at my job trying to get something out of me. If they would be truthful I would be much more willing to help.I'd much rather be told the truth that tatoos are just not on the list of things they care about than given some vague one liner before you go mum. People can handle the real answer if you'd just give it to them. Your game gives visual contradiction to your statement.Comment

Just read this.......
Our year to year save doesn't have to be uploaded to the cloud. MLB 15 will recognize the MLB 14 save.Comment

We can't give you the ability to change the save file names but I can have Darin add a few lines to the name of the save file. You havea very limited amount of time to send me some suggestions of what could be added within to help identify save files. The clock is ticking.....................................
Another other option...when you do a save, could the save also take a screenshot of either the currently selected team logo or of the main franchise menu screen and put that in place of the generic image currently on the left side of the save file?
I think the greatest possibility is to make open and closed models of each retractable roof stadium and insert a closing/opening cut scene that you can fast forward through if you want. Having the stadium open and close in the game environment would be odd.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Re: MLB 15 The Show Fact Sheet - Gameplay Reveal Scheduled For February 5th on Twitch
It seems that there are a lot of new features and incremental updates. A lot of them seem to be pretty small additions (sorry devs, I know each thing is way more work for you than you get credit for) or stuff we already thought was included (directional hitting? I've already been left analog stick'ing it and at least have had the placebo of it working!)
One of the things on the fact sheet that I am most pleased about is editable contracts. That will help folks play even more realistically. The beefed-up commentary and emotion system should also be interesting.
I'm still a little baffled on how the stat-tracking is so far behind the rest of the game. I realize Ramone said '16 and all--I also think it's not something you just want to paper over--but that the game only keeps HR, RBI, hits, and AVG year after year is disturbing. Since I like to deal with prospects, I also don't like how you can't sort stats by level or playoffs/regular season. Having to remember to grab stats before the MiLB playoffs and move guys around levels just to see their stats is a chore. Ultimately for '16, I'd be really disappointed if SCEA isn't thinking along the lines of EXPORT DATA TO EXCEL. That would save me and countless others hours of data entry every season.
The holy grail, though, would be a game that looks a little better than '14, but has management depth like OOTP...I didn't say that I had realistic expectations!
All that said and I'm waiting on seeing what the gameplay visually looks like before committing one way or another. If the player models are better, then I'm likely to purchase. If not, then I'll likely go with OOTP '16 to scratch my baseball itch this year.Last edited by WaitTilNextYear; 01-31-2015, 12:27 AM.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

So if MLB 15 can read the previous year's saves that gives me hope that player files and roster files might be transferable too... Anything to avoid having to redo faces lolBakin' soda, I got bakin' sodaComment

Just one real question will all of these features actually make it to the game? Because NBA 2k promised a bunch of features that never made the actual game. I know you guys aren't 2ksports, but I dont want want to get my hopes super high.Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show Fact Sheet - Gameplay Reveal Scheduled For February 5th on Twitch
Any logical explanation for why no more jersey slots have been added? The answer was always not enough space on ps3, now we've been on ps4 for 2 years and still nothing.
The stadiums with retractable roofs still not having an option to be played in a closed version is a shame, hopefully next year with a full development cycle, it will get in. The thing I don't understand about this is that basically every other game has retractable roofs in it, mlb 2k7 had it. How could they have time to add 10 new minor league stadiums, but not this? What could be so hard about it? Seriously.
No new player models, or at least some new body types or something is also a shame, again hopefully next year, some improvements will be made there, and we can get some better variation in body types between players.
Players not wearing their own jersey in the all star game is pretty lame too, but i guess it's understandable if it's gonna make the game run a lot worse. The thing i don't understand is how some older games had all-stars wearing their teams jersey but it can't be done today.
Still not having a jersey template for the jerseys with the numbers higher up on the back (ie. yankees) ...
As for the issue with the tattoos, don't really believe what's being said, never heard this excuse before on the Show side of these forums until Madden brings it up this year. Now all of a sudden that's the reason. And if that was the case, i doubt 2k or any game would go out of their way to get permission from every tattoo artist to have the tattoos for every single player in the game, that doesn't even seem possible. I feel like some game companies just come up with these reasons and then laugh when people buy it and spread it around as truth.
Anyways...
The fact sheet looks excellent despite these omissions.
The game seems to have made incredible leaps in terms of gameplay and presentation, which have me the most excited i have ever been to play the Show.
Looks like plenty of new animations, plenty of new and better commentary, plenty of new batting stances, pitching deliveries, got the challenge system, graphical improvements, and all of the new accessories sound amazing, especially all of the brands they've added (which people said would never happen because the Show doesn't have the same money as 2k/madden yada yada yada).
All in all, this is obviously going to be the best Show ever made, but hopefully next year, some of these glaring omissions will be dealt with.Last edited by Factzzz; 01-31-2015, 02:26 AM.NFL : Atlanta Falcons
