Well that would be a no then to his question since it wasn't about the standings.

If the batters number wasn't showing up right last year it will still be incorrect (if I read that right).

Sounds about right. We'll have to wait and see what they say during the Twitch stream for stadiums.

Hopefully that's combined with not seeing the same "batter waving the ball fair" animation that always tips off a foul ball before it clears the wall.

Just once I'd like to see the ball actually stay fair during that animation

You are incorrect. If the tattoo is a creation of the artist, then the tattoo belongs to the artist.



Again, read what I wrote. Last year was the first time that a player had his actual/authentic tattoo put into a game. First time ever. So for that reason, its my understanding that players will no longer have tattoos in the game due to the possibility of having an artist sue the developer of the game for using their art in the game without their permission or without compensating said artist.

First time ever for maddens. The neck tattoos in the shoe are authentic.
And as Russell LOVES to say comparing madden to the show is apples to battleships. And again you own what you purchase. Doesn't matter if an artist drew it or not it's yours to do with as you please, period.

So many things on the green monster in MLB 14 The Show PS4 version does not work. Of course the standings do not update in real time but even the Strikes and outs do not light up along with the wrong batter number shown. These things work in the PS3 version I sure hope this is fixed in 15.

Well, but 15 pages of this huge thread is entirely just people asking/complaining about stadium roofs. I don't want to be the guy to "search feature" you, but you've been around long enough to know about it.

I don't see how it being one video game vs another would affect how the courts view ownership of tattoos. It's not as though one judge will say the law is one thing for Madden, but another for other games. Even if the court rules the player owns his tattoo at some point, the threat of even going to court in other cases is going to keep developers out. If Tiburon is scared enough of litigation to not add any tattoos without consent from the artist, don't you think it's a real threat and other developers would also tread lightly?

EDIT: Also the "own what you purchase" statement is way oversimplified. If you go to Disney and buy a bunch of Mickey Mouse logos/stickers, you can't turn around and slap them on another product and sell the product. That would be textbook copyright infringement. Even though you owned the stickers/logos.

A video game studio profiting off of potentially copyright-able original art (i.e. the Mickey Mouse sticker) is similarly copyright infringement if the artist is able to protect his designs.

I've got a fun/legitimate question for Knight, Showtyme and other vets. How hyped are you after this years fact sheet compared to the many years you've played The Show? For me I'm very very excited. I always love the Show but last two years I wasn't AS excited but this year I'm like let's go!! Ha. Just curious about the vets anticipation compared to previous years just for the fun sake of discussion!
