I still have MLB 14 on PS4, so I'll probably start playing that more until the new one comes out. But can I get some tips on how I can motivate myself to play the game more and more? Particularly with playing against CPU in franchise mode and such.

How Can I "Get Into" The Show?
MLB The Show is a great franchise. I've bought ever single game since 12 and loved it for the short time I played it. But my novice of playing the game to a level against CPU made me stop playing it weeks after getting it. But I still like the series a lot and MLB 15 is sounding great but I'm not sure if I want it.

I've tried playing on a set difficulty so I'll try that. Thanks. Any more tips?Comment

Dynamic difficulty, or just use Beginner for a while. Adjust the sliders to give you more of an advantage until you get the hang of it. try different camera views for both batting and pitching, see if that helps.
What specifically are you having trouble with? Is it just hitting, or just pitching, both?Comment

Also, reward yourself when you knock a block of 20 games or so off the schedule. Think ice cream, or a steak dinner.
And with carry over saves, there's no rush to finish a season in franchise quickly. Just be sure to play at least a couple games, or series, every week.
When you can get a used copy of Show 15 cheap, then make the move from 14 to 15, and carry over your progress.
Also, if todays players aren't your favorite, then check out some classic rosters to play a season (not recommended for franchise IMO)

Good luck!

Re: How Can I "Get Into" The Show?
Thanks I'll definitely try that the next time I play. I played my first game today in months and won 4-1. I started off slow but I picked up a flow towards the end. Hoping I can improve more now!Comment

Dynamic difficulty is the way to go, it will adjust depending how good/bad you get. I love it!Playstation Network:That70s_Gamer

Re: How Can I "Get Into" The Show?
To be able to get through multiple seasons I rotate through my pitching rotation with a sim week between each starter. So I start with SP1 and play that game then sim once through my pitching rotation and play a game with my SP2 and so on. Helps to be able to get through a whole season relatively quickly.
I also found that hitting is easier when you pay attention lol. Just recently I started to actually try to pick the ball up as the pitcher releases it. Definitely helps and kudos again to how great of a sim the show is.Comment

Re: How Can I "Get Into" The Show?
have you tried playing Road to the Show to see if that is more enjoyable?I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(
