Fielding gloves: Nike, Wilson, Rawlings, Louisville Slugger

I wish they got some marucci batting gloves in the game for Jose Bautista, since the brand is in for bats.

Also wish they could have gotten New Balance in, hopefully they plan on getting more licensed brands and equipment.

I was hoping for NB but because it's a relatively new baseball brand (players have only started wearing New Balance since about 2011) I won't have any problem finding out what Miggy, Hanley, Pedroia wore before and assign them those brands.

Generics are still in the game right? Marucci has a pretty generic looking batting glove and generic shoe 3 kinda look like New Balances

Did anyone notice if shin and elbow guards look Evo'ish? That's one brand I would've liked to see.

I don't know about the elbow guards but during the stream one batter was wearing a shin guard and it looked a lot better and actually fit.

I think there are three options for each brand.

Yeah there are 3 nikes. Later in the video they scroll through cleats and you see the other options.

Four new brands for Fielding Gloves. Each brand has three different styles.
Four new brands for Bats. Each brand has three different styles.
Four new brands for Batting Gloves. Three brands have three styles and one brand has two styles.

Are you kidding me? Every other sports game has licensing equipment. Even mvp 2003 had them. It took the show 10 years to finally put it in. Who the hell wants to play with generic cleats/gloves/batting gloves?

When the gameplay is as perfectly tuned as The Show's is, the equipment licensing becomes an afterthought (even for someone who's big on it like me).

The fact that Sony have spent the time, money and resources on getting it included just to further improve the immersiveness speaks volumes. You've got to remember they're only competing with themselves as well since 2k stopped making baseball games. It shows dedication to bringing their fan bases the best possible game and this added licensing equipment is a huge plus that I didn't expect.

I just hope they can continue to add brands in future additions and look at this as another feature they can build upon that makes The Show the best baseball game ever made.

I'm not interested in brand licensing, though I am glad SCEA decided it was important to add, but I think that because the Show is as fine-tuned as it is,
is why there is a select segment of the Show fanbase that does focus on pushing SCEA to add to things like equipment.

I agree, and I'm glad that those people exist and the developers listen. It allows for constant evolution and means the developers know they can't get complacent.

That combined with the feedback from the community on OS is one of the things that makes the game so great.
