In all fairness, I think we shouldn't get ahead of ourselves and making presumptions on what the new mechanic does based on what we're hearing/seeing. We haven't used it yet hands on... Let's wait for the game to launch and use this ourselves before jumping the gun and saying this was a dumb move... because if there's one thing I know, it's SCEA doesn't implement things into the game until they're satisfied it's going to work for one, and two.. that it makes sense.

Did you happen to see any fans catch a HR and or foul ball? Also did you see a fan pick up a foul ball over the railing? And last did you see the ball boy and or first and third base coaches flip a ball to a fan and did he actually catch it?Comment

It really is a chess match on where to put the fielders. I remember a few years back at CD when we were trying to get more doubles into the game down the line. Moving these fielders a little really alters the balance of game as a whole. So basically they are where they are for overall game balance.

Edit: I probably should have consolidated those 3 posts. #slowdownComment

I agree, first time ever I have been disappointed by the show, I don't understand how this analog systems was even thought to be put into the game....It sounds too simplistic, and makes no sense, why would swinging to the left = contact? It makes no sense and is not intuitive at all. BY instinct if a pitch is outside i'll swing that way, only to be using a contact swing when I dont want to. Dumbed down and makes no sense.Comment

New analog hitting is virtually if not identical to the 2k analog. I know more than enough to know I don't want it at the expense of the old one. And this totally falls into the realm of removing features.Comment

I second this. I had to drop my timing slider to 0 in order to get realistic strikeout numbers, and that really isn't ideal.Ryan Spencer

I could be mistaken here, but I thought I read in the thread they got rid of the PCI? I'm not 100% sure on that though.Last edited by ShowTyme15; 02-06-2015, 06:02 PM.Comment

Only you guys can determine if adjustments made help this. I can't really answer this for you.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show (Community Day Gameplay Q&A Thread)
This is my opinion, but I think this is totally possible. As I showed Nem and the guys, the cutscenes are actually already rendered in realtime. I'm sure we will see more on this, and how it's been implemented into gameplay, during the presentation (think player's emotions) stream.
Anyway, probably a little off-topic... sorry.
What I mean is: Two years ago all of the animations between pitches always played out fully (other than with the exception of some foul balls). Last year, the game took a major step back and abruptly had the players back to being ready for the next pitch (whether we hit X or not).
And this was even with full counts, full/not quick presentation on, etc.
Has this been changed for 15?Comment
