    Re: Hidden attributes???

I always wondered if maybe there was some stat modeling based on previous seasons for players while simming. Maybe someone should take BJ Upton or Dan Uggla and max out his attributes to see what they come back with.

But while playing my first season with Atlanta, Justin Upton had better attributes than Jason Heyward, yet Jason pulled a triple crown on default hall of fame sliders while Justin Upton struggled to hit .240 and had 17 HRs for the year.

Then again, maybe my timing with the J-Hey kid was impeccable because he's my default for batting practice.

Based on a news article several years ago, hot & cold streaks do seem to be implemented through applying a small attribute rating boosts based on recent performance. From the OP's post it's not clear the amount of difference between the two players in question, so it's possible that was a factor. But I don't think there's a hard-coded tendency for a particular player to be on a streak like that, so if he had repeated the same season enough times, the better-rated player should outperform the other on average.

I don't think the game does this. The game doesn't carry over enough meaningful stats from one year to another. If it did, a lot of people here would get elated for the inclusion of more stats... :P
