Is there a way to play Franchise without managing the team in games?

    Hello all.

My one and only franchise since I bought the game last year has been a player locked career with a fictional player. I don't like road to the show, so I've been doing it this way and letting my guy grow naturally.

However, I've decided to start a new franchise and player look a fictional pitcher. The issue I'm having is that with far more time in the game as a pitcher I need to make more management decisions and I'd rather not. Is there a way to give over all managerial control to the AI in franchise mode?

Thanks in advance for any info.

Under the "Mode options", set each option to CPU. The game will take care of lineups, rotations, rosters, trades, etc. Make sure you control all thirty teams in case you get traded at some point.

Or maybe he is talking about automating in-game managerial decisions? Pinch hitters, defensive shifts, etc?

In my experience, this method results in in-game managerial being made automatically.

Ah, Ok. I only tried the Player Lock in Franchise mode briefly, couldn't remember.

            Thanks for the responses.

I did mean in game. I have everything set to auto in options. Last night I played my first Double A game to see what would happen regarding game time management. Ended up making 130 pitches across all nine innings.

I'll probably try RTTS, but I'm really not a fan of the system for attribute growth on it!

              Happy to help!

I play the show in my own "special" () way: I control all 30 teams and play every game for every team. I bat for the lead-off man for each side and remain with them until they are out or they score. Then I play the field for who ever is due first for the other team, take their at-bat next half inning, rinse and repeat.
