hitting is different with a bigger tv.

I just went from a 36" vizio tv to a 48" insignia tv. Now, I'm early on everything and it's easier to hit. Has anyone else noticed this when they switched tvs? Is it the size, or the brand of tv?

Better refresh rate, The lower it is, The less input lag you have. Size might help you see the ball better and you react a little quicker as well, But more than likely I would say your new TV has a better refresh rate

This has been discussed at length several times over the years. I believe it has to do with different TV's having higher? refresh rates. Quite a big difference is enabling game mode on your TV.

I'm sure if you do a search you can find all of the threads. I would do it for you but I am on my phone and cooking dinner.

Apparently Matt was typing faster than I was and got you all covered.

          I went from a 19'' to a 47''. On the 19'' I never had a problem with changeups,
but on the 48'' I'm consistently early on changeups. I guess at some point I'll tinker with the camera settings.

My bare bones 47" Vizio with 60hz refresh is great for video games. No lag at all.

I need to get one of these new fangled refresher TVs. The lag on my current set is definitely noticeable.

I went from a 48 to a... 73!!!! lol! But am back at 48, because I gave my other to my dad, will be getting a 70 something as soon as I can. I didn't notice lag changes from lg to mitsubishi.
1458, not counting playoffs, that's the number of games in a row I haven't missed! Go Yanks!

The only problem with enabling game mode for me is that it hurts the graphics a little.

thanks for the responses, fellas. When you say game mode, that would be in visual settings, correct?

That really depends on the brand of your TV. It is hidden in some other option menu in my Samsung, not with the regular picture settings. Some other brands have a quick setting/button on the remote for it that you can cycle through with other picture settings (IE: Picture Mode button that you can cycle through modes such as Movie, Sports, Game, etc.)
