    Licensing/Branding

I'm loving the fact that this year we've got new brands and licenses in equipment to help bring the game even more to life and realistic. BUT, is there any plans to have more brands and licenses for stadium advertisements? (Like the green monsters' two billboards [i.e. my avatar picture to the left], etc). One thing I liked about the 2k series is the true advertisements in stadiums. (It'd be pretty cool to see if they had a pepsi agreement and CitiField have an actual pepsi porch. Or if they had D.Donuts, then the Ads on Fenway's rCF scoreboard would reflect that)

I really hope this is something that we can get in the future. I don't see it happening this year, but hopefully on down the road.

Most likely this is a moving target tied into timed contracts, etc. Now that 2K is out of baseball, it would be awesome to see State Farm and Pepsi come on over to The Show.

State Farm is still in the NBA 2K games, so they still may have some kind of exclusve deal with 2K, I'm not sure. Call Jake, from State Farm. I bet he knows.(Sorry I coldn't help myself)

Actually, the State Farm sponsorship is based on their partnership with the various sports leagues. They pulled all sponsorship from Major League Baseball in/around 2013. That is why they stopped appearing in The Show, and should have been pulled from MLB 2K13, as well. I do not own 2K13, but I would assume there are no State Farm ads in that game either. State Farm decided to focus on their partnership with the NBA, which they dove into big time. (just turn on your TV and wait for the next Cliff/Chris Paul or John/Don Stockton commercial, lol.)

Pepsi, Lincoln, and the others were most likely compensated (crazy, I know) to have their image/branding appear in the 2K games. I don't think that's something SONY is interested in doing right now, for development budget reasons.

Based solely on the ads we saw in the stream, not in MLB 15.

Seriously, I just want more diversity in the in-game ads. All the current ones are pretty much the same colors(red, blue, white). I don't think there are any that are green, yellow, purple, etc. I just want more diverse looking ads, even if they're fake. It adds more color to the stadium.

To get real sponsors would probably take a lot of money.

You would think there would to be a way to solicit advertising to be in a game where the company had to pay to be put in instead of vice versa.

Personally I would like to see them capitalize more on the generic ads and use them in the presentation more. When you watch sporting events every report is sponsored by someone. In the Show for example, have San Diego studios be the sponsor for the weather report at the beginning of the game, have Sony sponsor the Pre Game pitching matchup, Have ACME insurance be the sponsor for the break out player of the game. It does not need to always be known brands.

From the fact sheet it appears there will be brand sponsorships within your franchise that enhance the in game presentation. I'm interested to see what that is about.

I'm not all-together sure Sony would be PAYING for ad partners... it could easily be the other way around. If so, I'm confident smaller companies would be THRILLED to have their brand in The Show for nothing (MAX Bats, Nokona gloves, one of 500 energy drink brands, bubble gum brands, etc). My guess is there is a price tag for these brands to get involved.

I also agree that better fake ads would suffice. I love Super Mega Baseball's ads. Tongue in cheek and pretty well designed!

                              Exactly!

We don't even really need real ads we just need a lot more variety of ads in all the stadiums. I hate seeing the same ads over and over again in every stadium.
