Player of the Game and AI

This is gonna be hard to explain, but I, but does anyone feel someone will just hit a home run out of nowhere late in a game, or something HUGE happens so that the game can pick a player of the game award?

There are games where it would get to the 8th innings and I would be thinking who would you pick as player of the game for this? then all of a sudden a home run is hit by someone and straight away they can become the 'player of the game' award.

I have NEVER seen a Relief pitcher get the player of game award only the closer (thats usually if you have 3 Strike outs, I have had RP do 3 scoreless and hitless innings before, but 95% of the time it goes to a hitter or a SP.

Ive had plenty of games where someone will get the award for just having a hit or 2. I dont think ive seen a RP get it other than a closer. But i come from the Ned Yost school of bullpen management and have set guys for each inning and they rarely go more than 1. So the closer gets all the credit.

No I don't think something just happens so they can have a player of the game. If something big happens late in the game I don't find that strange, and I don't think there is a comeback code either.

There is not now, nor has there ever been a comeback code.

The winning starting pitcher seems to be the POG 90% of the time.

And the Show may have never had comeback code, but you'll never convince me that Madden and NCAA didn't, especially on the PS2. Game after game after game, the CPU would play 10x better in the 4th quarter.

Madden definitely DOES.. (notice the present tense, for M15-PS4). I stopped playing Madden because the last game I played I had it on lockdown, and the CPU came back in a way where I couldn't even stop it... last play of the game I'm up by 4, only way for the CPU to win is throw a bomb 60 yards to the end zone, (which anyone who plays Madden knows just call prevent defense and back off coverage to easily stop it)... and they throw the ball, and catch it like a wide open receiver (basket catch) in the middle of the crowd. I lost it.... haven't played since, and dont plan on buying until 2k is back in the picture. (I know this is a Show forum, sorry.....)

I would love to be able to choose the player myself....and have it tracked....

Like the game gives you a stat readout at the end of each game, and you can choose the best based off that? Then it remembers it so you can see who's excelling over time?

Not for player of the game and its not a comeback code but I can explain it best like this I do feel the game is just to random at times almost like Im not even playing more of just a actor in a role even though QC lessens alot of the forced frustration as the means dont equal your results very well at key moments IMO.

I never thought of that but I like that. Kinda like giving the game ball to someone.
