Love that idea too. I just feel the game goes by stats while picking it rather then performance.

I guy that hits a triple and is 1 from -4 all of a sudden will get the player of the game in a 1-0 win, even if your RP had to come in for a injury and pitch 6 shutout innings.

like starting pitcher will get play of the game if he only gives up 2 runs over 7 innings even if he has walked about 4 people and been hit 10 times, the game seems to go by the runs scored (that's why the AI will go to the BP after 4 innings even if your pitcher got hit around for 4 runs in the first innings and was no hit the next 3 no matter what the AI has it programmed to replace the pitcher because of the 4 runs given up rather then use common sense that the last 3 innnings hes been gold

      Yep,......it's my team.

I know joe blow went 4 for 4.....or SP went 9 innings.....but my pick saved 2 runs in the field and hit the game tying single.
GAME BALL for him.....I hit his player card and see the game balls in a trophy case with the date and performance when you hit on it.

Yeah the player of the game is a bit wonky sometimes - Robinson Cano hits the go-ahead 2 run homer in the bottom of the eighth, Fernando Rodney comes in the 9th and gets a 1-2-3 inning with no strikeouts and he's the player of the game.

I love that idea, it would be awesome! I also thought it would always be nice to have a vote at the end of the season for MVP and Cy Young award, you know, things like that. Not that we get to pick them, but we just get a vote in them.

Yeah the thing needs to put more weight on situational value. Right now it looks solely at stat lines, with no context. A guy who hits 2 solo home runs gets it over a guy who hits a grand slam.

That guy with the grand slam would get it over a pitcher who entered the game with the bases loaded and ended the inning with no runs allowed.
