I posted this on reddit yesterday, So thought its appropriate for OS as well.
Since MLB 2005 as 14 year olds, two other friends and I have competed in a yearly MLB King Tournament that we form including Draft day(Snake),Scoreboard including what pitcher pitched what game,wins,Home and away etc. (Rivalry mode made the process much easier btw but back to the old school way lol) The winner of the tournament takes the MLB "15" King Title for bragging rights, any bets including $$$($300 last year), Shaved heads,the right to not play next year or whatever it is and First pick of the draft automatically, meaning you can draft any player in the game before we start the actual snake draft. UNFORTUNATELY even though I pitched a no-no I didn't end up winning last year. Like every year, I'm pumped for 15 but was wondering if anyone else out there is doing the something we are? I'm sure there is. Also what type of drafting technique would you prefer as we have all selected American League teams we will all be playing with DH. I'm not sure if to draft 3 pitchers-2 position-2 Pitchers and the rest position and relief. or 4 position,2 pitchers and so on. LIKE EVERY ACTUAL team I believe this year is my year. Btw we draft 25 players. any bold recommendations for my draft would be highly appreciated. for now, I have Yan Gomes,Wieters or Lucroy as catchers cause I know buster and Yadier will be high picks. I'm thinking of drafting Brantley from the indians think he's going to have good attributes in this year's edition. Also If you guys have been doing this as well and have any recommendations on how you draft or how you set up the tournament it would be interesting to see how everyone else sets it up.
