using balk?

I was wondering how many people use balk during there games (I currently don't) and was wondering if it applies to the CPU as well

Through 14, it does not affect the CPU (and I would strongly assume it does not for '15 as well). It's only there as an online countermeasure to quick-pitching.

Since it doesn't affect the CPU, I always turn it off.

I have never seen the cpu called for a balk.

Ok that's cool that's what I'm use to doing since I starting playin . Didn't want to feel like I'm cheating the game

I play a very sim style game and I have balks turned off. The cpu cannot balk so it just didn't seem right that I be potentially penalized for something that the computer would not be.

It is a hard thing to incorporate into a video game and perhaps is best suited for a human vs human matchup.

Plus, over a long season you start button mashing through most things to get the game moving along and having to slow down to make sure you were set before pitching was annoying more than anything. Combined with the fact that you rarely see balks in the MLB anyway, maybe 4-5 per year per team are called, and I really am not missing them in the game.
