    4:05 Starts

I was wondering if anybody knew if the 4:05 start time games will get dark eventually if the game goes long or it is early/late in the season? This would really be cool.

In a 4:05 game in MLB 14 the shadows would reach a certain point and then stop, instead of continuing to progress until sunset.

Going by what they've said about the new lighting, I'd venture a guess and say yes, it'll get dark.
1458, not counting playoffs, that's the number of games in a row I haven't missed! Go Yanks!

How many games start at 4:05?

Maybe opening day and a few Saturday games?

I would not think that a 4 pm start in May, June, July or August would have an effect for normal 9 inning games. But a 4 pm start in April or late September might given the shorter days at the beginning and end of the season.

A long enough game at a 405 start time should get dark. Russell mentioned in one of the recent streams, that if you started a game (especially a 8 pm game) and played long enough like a super marathon of a game, the sky would start to eventually brighten with the new morning. one of the graphics guys saw that while playing around with something I guess).

            Thanks for the responses guys.

@Kehlis : the Braves (whom I cheer for) have quite a few 4:05 Saturday starts every season, even when it isn't the Fox national broadcast game. This is why I asked the question.

@Aqp : that sounds good. It seems like the sun will move in real time and not have a "stopping point" as it did in previous iterations.

Are those 4:05 starts of the Braves reflected in the game.

In the stream they've shown several games that have gone from day to night. Not sure what their start times were though.

Pretty sure those were 7 pm starts.

But I like how the game transitioned from day light, to dusk, to night. Definitely a new featured that help sell me to pre-order my copy.

Perhaps but still it's a proof of concept. If a 4 o'clock game goes long enough you'll see sunset and night.

7pm games always ended in the dark though. The issue is 4pm games could go 20 innings and never get dark.

I think it all depends on what time the in game/on field clock has.

Yes, this has been in the game for quite a few years now.

The developers said in one of the streams that if you play a 7 pm start game, and it goes long enough, you would see the sunrise. So I would imagine it works similarly for 4 pm starts where the sun goes down eventually.
