Lol placebo, there is no difference. As for who would, lots of people especially if you don't have an hour to play one gameComment

Re: Are you able to earn achievements while using pitch count?
Definitely a nice feature and one I used to cut down on game times.
It didn't mess up my timing, but it had a huge impact on my AB to AB approach. For example, if I was in a hitter's count, I would sit on a zone and had an easier time laying off borderline pitches. On the flip side , if I was behind in the count, I was more apt to chase pitches because I didn't have the luxury of taking a borderline strike, because my batter would be out.
I love that it makes each AB a little different and you have to mentally prepare based on the situation - that is a win for me.
As for achievements, it would be nice to have some achievements available for quick count users. But, to be honest, achievements aren't a deciding factor as to whether or not I use a feature.Comment

Re: Are you able to earn achievements while using pitch count?
I would say quick counts is used my the majority probably that play the game.
I actually prefer it because it helps get the most accurate stats when it comes to drawing walks, for me anyway, as Im not a very good hitter. I also am one who don't like to skip thru cuts screens, so this helps keep game times down some, that way its easier to get thru a entire season, and not do any simming of games.
Im sure a lot of people like it cause they don't have all the time in the world to play cause of work and family, so it helps them finish seasons, and not have to sim games to do.Everyone who exalts themselves will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted- Luke14-11

Re: Are you able to earn achievements while using pitch count?
I don't have any proof to back me up, but I would think while the majority use QC some of the time, I don't believe the majority of games are played using QC. According to my user profile I use QC a third of the games I play. I also think if SCEA were to figure out how mesh pitcher stamina with allowing QC to be turned off/on mid-game, more people would use QC and people who already use it exclusively would play some of their game with it off. Ideally, I'd love to play the 1st & 2nd innings with QC off, then switch horses mid-stream with QC on for innings 3 through 7, then shut it back off for the 8th & 9th innings.T-BONE.

I use them but it seems like the pitch counts get very high, very quickly. Hoping to see this alleviated in '15 with the cut back on deeper counts.PS5 GT: hawkfandave827Comment

Yes. Quick Count is a per-game setting and switched on and off before each game starts.Comment

I hope they change this because I like to trophy hunt a little. It doesn't make sense the game I put 500+ hours into I have like 20% of the trophies yet I can platinum games like Shadow of Mordor in 20 hours.
Not a huge deal but I didn't understand the logic behind it. It'd be nice if they made them more based off RTTS, chise, and online rather than playing random exhibition games to do random things like hit 2 triples with Puig or something.Comment
