Just bought a PS4 for The Show

After years of killing myself for either A) having a lousy baseball game or B) not having a baseball game for Xbox in general ........... I finally took the plunge.

Now my Xbox One has a buddy to sit next him. If my wife leaves me, who has an spare room?

I am so pumped to finally play The Show !!!!!!!!!

Welcome ... I was a MLB The Show convert back in 2012 first with the PS3 console and now I have the PS4 console as well and have not looked back since then. There are a few small things that the MLB2k series might have done which are better than The Show. But only a few. MLB The Show is the superior game.

PS: historically I was not even a baseball person. I am much more of a football, hockey, alpine skiing and motorsports guy. But MLB The Show is so good in made me appreciate baseball for what it is.

Welcome ... I was a MLB The Show convert back in 2012 first with the PS3 console and now I have the PS4 console as well and have not looked back since then. There are a few small things that the MLB2k series might have done which are better than The Show. But only a few. MLB The Show is the superior game.

I'm glad because I hated the 2k series. That game was terrible.
I know The Show is a great series, so happy to finally join.

There is an Online Franchise kinda like Madden right? How is that?

So far Im doing well. I got Last of Us and Destiny (which I'm gonna sell) with it. Liking Last of Us so far. Honestly tho, the PS4 controller kinda hurts my hands, got 4 days to prep em haha

So far Im doing well. I got Last of Us and Destiny (which I'm gonna sell) with it. Liking Last of Us so far. Honestly tho, the PS4 controller kinda hurts my hands, got 4 days to prep em haha

the last of us is a great game , one of the best from last gen. I would say thou be prepare to have a rough time with The Show at first, I played mostly 2k baseball games until I finally got a ps3 back in 2011 and it was a struggle at first but in the end The Show is by far a more rewarding baseball game once you finally get the hang of it. the first time you crank a no doubter over the wall you will feel it.

Unfortunately, online modes/performance has been the achilles heel of this game. Hoping it's improved this year.

So there isn't one or its just bad?

Like the 2k series was terrible because the Online League was all User vs User.
Ideally, I'd like to have me and a friend or 2 play a full season with our teams. Not User vs User every game. If not, oh well

Yeah another reason I'm trying to get in some serious practice with 14 (I'm a rookie at baseball games and baseball in general) before 15 comes out. I cannot contain my excitement for that game.

One thing that will help you greatly is The Show's Dynamic Difficulty, which adjusts on the fly as you improve at the game. Why all sports games aren't implementing something like this is beyond me.

It's there but sometimes unplayable due to lag.

Disclaimer: Despite of the online performance challenges, I buy The Show for PS3, Vita and now PS4 every year. It was also the sole reason for me switching from X360 to PS3 a few years back.

Yeah I really love that they have that feature. I agree, it should be something in all sports game.
