Re: MLB 15 The Show Player Ratings - Top Rated Players For Each Team
Ok, I think his overall rating in this game is acceptable, but looking solely at his numbers he currently is 91-50 over 7 seasons and in only two seasons has reached the 200 Innings pitched plateau; he has managed to start 30+ games for the past 6 seasons. So, you can't possibly tell me that these stats justify a seven year $210 million dollar contract plus $50 million dollar signing bonus.
Getting back to his rating, what is it a 94? Anyway if that is his overall than his potential should be about 86-88 I don't consider him a number 1 starter. The money that he will receive leads to believe that he is considered to be in the same category as Mike Trout and Clayton Kershaw (Not even close IMO).Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show Player Ratings - Top Rated Players For Each Team
Lol why are you guys talking about wins and loses like those make any difference in the ratings? Over the last 3 seasons Scherzer has been the 3rd best starter in baseball. 10.46 K/9, 2.59 BB/9, 0.85 HR/9, and a .226 AVG against warrant a 94 or whatever he is.Bakin' soda, I got bakin' sodaComment

Re: MLB 15 The Show Player Ratings - Top Rated Players For Each Team
As far as The Angels are concerned, the OVRs look ok. I think Richards and Calhoun are a bit underrated here, but considering their method of evaluating players I can understand how they came to those ratings. What I don't understand is how Dee Gordon is rated higher than Howie Kendrick. Gordon has had one really good half season due to an abnormally high BABIP, while the rest of his career has shown a below average ability to get on base, while Kendrick is coming off one of his best years both offensively and defensively, and has proven to be one of the more consistent 2b in the game. Call me a homer if you want(I realize he's on the Dodgers now), but that just doesn't make sense to me. Does speed really make all the difference?Last edited by breakfastcat; 03-06-2015, 07:32 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show Player Ratings - Top Rated Players For Each Team
From what I saw I felt the ratings of players looks pretty well done. Always going to be disagreements when it comes to ratings, just human nature to have some bias in you.
I was happy with ratings I saw of Reds players, some might even be a tad high.
Cant wait to get the game and check it all out, really hope pitchers repertoires are improved, as this is the worst thing in this game that they do. Very few straight changes thrown, yet in MLBTS that's what they give almost every pitcher, would like to see them put more effort in this area to be more accurate, although if thast all we have to worry about them that's pretty goodEveryone who exalts themselves will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted- Luke14-11

Tanaka is not overrated. He was dirty last year before his injury. Come on. Be reasonable. If it wasn't for his injury he would have played in the All-star game and been right there with Abreu for ROY. Scherzer has been one of the most consistent pitchers in the game for the past 3 years and eats innings. Not to mention the Cy Young in 2013.NHL: Rangers

Re: MLB 15 The Show Player Ratings - Top Rated Players For Each Team
Rizzo at 84 is very low. Castro at 80 is low.
They had Jon Lester, Cole Hamels at B potential, and Josh Harrison at an A. Thats absurd putting Harrison's potential over two bona fide aces.Comment
