      User controlled cutoffs?

What is the difference between last year holding L1 and this upcoming year?

That was a good read. Not a lot of detail but it hit a lot of the big points this year. Good find

You can manually cutoff a throw this year.

Last year you could throw to a cutoff man. This year, lets say you throw to home, you can press L1 I think they stated and manually cut the ball off if you so choose.

Previous iterations once you tried to make a throw it was going to that base, unless you threw to the cutoff with L1. NOW, you can throw to a base, but if you decide to cut it off instead mid flight, you can.

I'm so glad they finally added this in.

I've asked for this for years...

Yeah, the user cutoffs were definitely a necessary addition.

I know this has been asked long before last year, but I actually asked this question to Nick when he was streaming last year before release. He saw it and talked about how it's a good idea and he and the team would be looking into it. Now it's in the game!

Sooooo many times I would make a throw to 3rd or home and want to cut if off to try and get the runner at 2nd and never could .. Soooo happy we got manual cutoffs 😁

It's only for direct throws home from the outfield. I never saw the ability to cut mid flight to a base. Also the prompt to cut is not automatic every time, the player has to be in a reasonable position to be able to cut the ball going home.

It gives you the the opportunity to try and hold runners or try to gun runners trying to advance as opposed to have the throw trickle home to the catcher and getting nothing in return.

isn't that the whole point of being able to throw to a cutoff man anyway so why is manual so important.. i dont understand.. LF throws to SS which keeps the rummer at 2nd from going to third.. RF throws to 2B which in turn can throw to annywhere.. so why are manual cut offs any different.. ??

your already throwing to a designated cut off man to begin with...

If you throw home and then realize the runner from first is trying to take second, you can manually cut it off this year and try to get the runner going to second base.
