    Input lag on ps4 version?

Has it been improved? Ill be makibg the plunge this year and wondering. My tv is a Sony KDLW900A 240hz and it has aome of the lowest input lag so on mybend i assume im okay. Im just wondering though if next gen has eliminated it, if its still a xoncern, etc.
Thank you and sorry if this has been asked before.

I think he means choppiness or framerate drops...which is alive & well in MLB 14.

Well as far as i know it was called input lag

Input lag is a no-no for serious gamers who play shooters and other twitchy games. Find out which TVs lag behind the competition.

No, i mean the time between when u hit the controoler button and it actually occuring in game. Its a well known issue in video games.

What you are describing is not input lag.

The variable is the TV not the system. So if you struggle on your TV now I would expect the same on the ps4.

Wow I didn't know a tv could cause any issues. My tv is from 2007 or 2008, can't remember when I bought it. But so far on PS4 I've played NBA2K15 and GTA 5. Haven't had any frame rate issues. Should I expect any from TheShow?

Frame rate is not the issue. It is the delay between when you perform an action on the controller and when it appears on screen. It has to do with the internal mechanisms of your TV and how quickly it performs its processes. It's generally a difference of tens of milliseconds. If you haven't noticed lag before, you won't notice it with MLB.

I had that TV and it was awesome for gaming. I was ahead of everything and tearing the cover off the ball. I upgraded to the xbr850b and I am late again.

You should have absolutely no problem with input lag with that set. Make sure you use game mode or else you will not see the benefits.

Yes that how it has been defined up until recently but just wanted to clarify.
They did not add any calibrations like rock band has to the ps4 version to mitigate the issue. It is the same as ps3.

Well it is something that is noticed more in some games as opposed to others. On my other tv where ive had my ps3 hooked up to, ive noticed it moreso in The Show as opposed to any other game because of pitches.

I havent hooked it up to this new tv yet. I just wasnt sure if on the ps end, the more power amd processing made any difference for the tv.

Jimmydm90's description is what you are asking about as far as I can tell.

This kind of lag or delay is entirely dependent on the TV, and has nothing to do with the PS4.

Having said that, the game could compensate, like Guitar Hero did, with a calibration setting.

No I haven't noticed any lag of any sort on any other games. I haven't played the show on ps4 yet, only ps3. I never had any problems on last gen. Would the ps4 make a difference?
